To compare baseline disease activity and treatment effectiveness in biologic-naive patients with nonradiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS) who initiate tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) treatment and to study the role of potential confounders (e.g., HLA-B27 status). ⋯ In this nationwide cohort, patients with nr-axSpA had higher subjective disease activity at start of first TNFi treatment, but similar outcomes to patients with AS after confounder adjustment. HLA-B27 positivity was associated with better outcomes irrespective of axSpA subdiagnosis.

Lupus Myocarditis: Initial Presentation and Longterm Outcomes in a Multicentric Series of 29 Patients.
Cardiac involvement during systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) may include the pericardium, myocardium, valvular tissue, and coronary arteries. The aim of this study was to describe the clinical, biological, and radiological presentation of lupus myocarditis (LM) as well as the treatment response and longterm outcomes. ⋯ LM is a severe manifestation of SLE. It can be the first manifestation of the disease or it can occur during followup, in particular in untreated patients. However, the longterm prognosis is typically positive. Patients with less severe disease exhibited good LVEF recovery without CYC.

An analysis of subglottic stenosis (SGS) occurrence frequency in patients with granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) based on the time of appearance of clinical symptoms, and an assessment of treatment effectiveness, in particular with the intratracheal dilation-injection technique (IDIT). ⋯ SGS often occurs independently of other features of active GPA. IDIT is a safe and effective technique in the treatment of GPA-related SGS. It should be performed in all patients with GPA who develop significant SGS and in those with multiorgan disease concomitantly with IST. In patients with isolated SGS, IDIT also makes IST and tracheostomy unnecessary.
