Cost-effective Tapering Algorithm in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis: Combination of Multibiomarker Disease Activity Score and Autoantibody Status.
To analyze the effect of a risk-stratified disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD)-tapering algorithm based on multibiomarker disease activity (MBDA) score and anticitrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) on direct treatment costs for patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in sustained remission. ⋯ Combining MBDA score and ACPA status at baseline may allow risk stratification for successful DMARD tapering and cost-effective use of biologic DMARD in patients in deep remission as defined by the 28-joint count Disease Activity Score using erythrocyte sedimentation rate.

Rituximab in the Treatment of Interstitial Lung Disease Associated with Antisynthetase Syndrome: A Multicenter Retrospective Case Review.
To assess clinical outcomes including imaging findings on computed tomography (CT), pulmonary function testing (PFT), and glucocorticoid (GC) use in patients with the antisynthetase syndrome (AS) and interstitial lung disease (ILD) treated with rituximab (RTX). ⋯ Stability or improvement in pulmonary function or severity of ILD on CT was seen in most patients. Use of RTX was well tolerated in the majority of patients. RTX may play a therapeutic role in patients with AS-ILD, and further clinical investigation is warranted.

Lupus Myocarditis: Initial Presentation and Longterm Outcomes in a Multicentric Series of 29 Patients.
Cardiac involvement during systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) may include the pericardium, myocardium, valvular tissue, and coronary arteries. The aim of this study was to describe the clinical, biological, and radiological presentation of lupus myocarditis (LM) as well as the treatment response and longterm outcomes. ⋯ LM is a severe manifestation of SLE. It can be the first manifestation of the disease or it can occur during followup, in particular in untreated patients. However, the longterm prognosis is typically positive. Patients with less severe disease exhibited good LVEF recovery without CYC.

Two-year Efficacy and Safety of Etanercept in Pediatric Patients with Extended Oligoarthritis, Enthesitis-related Arthritis, or Psoriatic Arthritis.
The main objective was to determine the 2-year clinical benefit and safety of etanercept (ETN) in children with the juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) categories of extended oligoarthritis (eoJIA), enthesitis-related arthritis (ERA), or psoriatic arthritis (PsA). ⋯ Over 96 weeks of therapy, ETN demonstrated sustained efficacy at treating the clinical symptoms of all 3 JIA categories, with no major safety issues.

Does Concomitant Methotrexate with Adalimumab Influence Treatment Outcomes in Patients with Psoriatic Arthritis? Data from a Large Observational Study.
To examine the influence of concomitant methotrexate (MTX) with adalimumab (ADA) on outcomes in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) using data from an observational study of ADA. ⋯ ADA is an effective treatment option for patients with PsA with or without axial involvement. Compared with ADA monotherapy, the use of concomitant MTX with ADA does not improve articular or skin outcomes in patients with PsA regardless of axial symptoms.
