Treatment of Lymphorrhea Associated with an Amputation Stump with Lymphaticovenular Anastomosis.
Lower limb lymphorrhea is a condition with a considerable impact on the quality of life. It is usually associated with inguinal lymph node dissection and vascular procedures with femoral exposure. ⋯ After failure of conservative treatment, she underwent lymphaticovenular anastomosis with a successful outcome. Drainage cessation suggests that lymphaticovenular anastomosis may be an effective treatment for patients with lymphorrhea from and amputation stump, although further studies are required to determine long-term efficacy.

[Attitudes, Knowledge and Views of Portuguese Physicians regarding Complementary and Alternative Medicine: A Cross-sectional Study].
The widespread use of complementary and alternative medicine and the fact that these are not innocuous makes it important for physicians to be familiar with it in order to properly advise their patients. The aim of this study was to identify attitudes, knowledge and views of Portuguese physicians about complementary and alternative medicine. ⋯ Portuguese doctors seem to have a low level of knowledge about complementary and alternative medicine, and a relevantpart of them does not feel prepared to advise their patients about it.

Patient registries allow better evaluations of therapeutic outcomes and support personalized health care in several conditions. This study aimed to implement a local registry in a multiple sclerosis center in Portugal, in order to carry out a critical analysis of its development stages, and to perform an initial analysis of the included patients. ⋯ Despite the amount of data collected within the scope of this study, several difficulties affected the implementation and maintenance of the registry, which could be overcome by improving future strategies.

Even though the risk of COVID-19 in pregnancy may be increased, large-scale studies are needed to better understand the impact of the infection in this population. The aim of this study is to describe obstetric complications and the rate of vertical transmission in pregnant women with SARS-CoV-2 infection. ⋯ SARS-Cov-2 infection in pregnancy may carry increased risks for both pregnant women and the fetuses. Individualized surveillance and the prophylaxis of this population with vaccination. is recommended in these cases.

The demographic and professional characteristics of specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology registered in Portugal are presented and current and future needs assessed. ⋯ In Portugal, there is not lack of Obstetrics and Gynecology specialists in absolute numbers, but the large number of specialists aged 55 years of age and older, who are exempt from shifts in emergency department work, and the existence of regional asymmetries contribute to the perpetuation of some shortages of these healthcare professionals in several departments, namely in public hospitals.
