There is a lot of evidence that suggests that microRNAs (miRs) play an imperative role in the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This study was designed to decipher the role of miR-125b in PCOS pathogenesis. ⋯ Since miR-125b controls the proliferation rate of granulosa cells in polycystic ovaries, it might be addressed as a potential therapeutic target for PCOS patients.

Determining differences and patterns in responses might help to understand over-excitability of students with high cognitive ability (SHCA) and to design treatments for helping them in controlling stress. ⋯ These findings might lead to a discussion about the factors determining differences in the responses given by students with high cognitive ability under stress conditions.

The aim was to investigate the expression of TLR2 and TLR5 in the distal ileum of mice with obstructive jaundice (OJ) and their role in intestinal mucosal injury. ⋯ Disturbance of intestinal flora caused by OJ could increase the expression of NF-κB via up-regulating the expression of TLR2 to activate the downstream signaling pathway, thus aggravated the injury of intestinal mucosa.
