The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic capacity of integrated pulmonary index (IPI) in predicting the pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients admitted to emergency departments (ED) with dyspnea. ⋯ IPI was a potential candidate for evaluating the respiratory status, and a limiting tool to prevent unnecessary diagnostic tests and save time in determining the treatment course in dyspneic patients at ED (Tab. 5, Fig. 3, Ref. 34).

Comparison of bone remodelling around short stem and conventional straight stem in total hip replacement: a prospective randomized radiographic and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometric study.
The aim of study was to evaluate periprosthetic bone mineral density (BMD) changes of proximal femur, osseointegration and clinical outcomes after implantation of short-stemmed and conventional straight-stemmed prostheses. ⋯ The implant-specific stress shielding altered the proximal loading condition for both stems; however, the results of this study suggest a more physiological strain distribution with the short stems versus the straight stems (Tab. 3, Fig. 3, Ref. 25).

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 as a pandemic disease earlier in 2020, several publications reported the electron microscope images of SARS-CoV-2. This article reviews 73 articles from March 1956 till April 2021, focusing on the ultrastructure characteristics of the coronaviruses. ⋯ With this we hope to facilitate accurate interpretation of TEM findings, and contribute to the building of a unified database in the face of COVID-19 (Tab. 2, Fig. 8, Ref. 81). The most promising strategy for managing COVID-19 pandemic is achieving sufficient vaccination rate worldwide. The question is how many people will be willing to get vaccinated. ⋯ Willingness of population to receive COVID-19 is just at the herd immunity threshold and it is decreasing over time (Tab. 2, Fig. 3, Ref. 110). To investigate the possible molecular mechanisms of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for treating atrial fibrillation (AF) and the microRNA (miRNA) target for intervention in the future. ⋯ Using RFA to treat AF may have an impact via reversing the changes in miRNAs regulating the ion-channel proteins, especially for outward K+ current channels such as Ikur, Ikr, and Iks, which may play a major role in electrical remodeling in AF. It may be that miR-1266 is an antiarrhythmic miRNA and an AF intervention target in the future (Tab. 2, Fig. 4, Ref. 46).
