Evaluation of selected inflammatory parameters and serum malondialdehyde (MDA) significance in the post-inflammatory period in adult patients with cystic fibrosis. ⋯ Plasma fibrinogen examined in the post-inflammatory period is a marker of lung damage in patients with cystic fibrosis and can be used to predict the prognosis. The positive correlation of serum MDA with FEV1 in the post-inflammatory period may be important to the interpretation of treatment interventions (Tab. 3, Fig. 2, Ref. 17).

Drug hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs) is commonly encountered in clinical practice. This condition requires sufficient knowledge of health care professionals (HCPs) carrying for these patients. ⋯ Targeted educational programs are needed for better understanding of DHRs. The implementation of the national guidelines needs improvement. The approach used can be recommended for study of the problems in other areas of healthcare (Tab. 4, Fig. 2, Ref. 15).

Case Reports
A rare case of acute acalculous cholecystitis secondary to hantavirus infection with renal syndrome.
Hantaviruses are single-stranded RNA viruses. They are transmitted to humans by rodents and insectivore hosts. Some Hantavirus subtypes are the causative agents of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), which is characterized by fever, thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury. ⋯ The patient's condition and clinical findings improved after supportive treatment. Hantavirus infection should be considered in patients with acute kidney injury, cholecystitis and thrombocytopenia (Fig. 2, Ref. 10). Keywords: Hantavirus, acute kidney injury, acalculous cholecystitis, thrombocytopeni.

We decided to compare the incidence and spectrum of pelvic fractures in 2020 affected by the anti-pandemic measures due to COVID-19 with previous years 2018 and 2019. ⋯ We observed the increased number of suicidal attempts only on a limited number of specific patients with pelvic fractures; therefore, we cannot formulate any general conclusions regarding the incidence of suicide during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, we consider this to be a warning signal highlighting the worsened population mental health due to COVID-19 pandemic (Tab. 2, Fig. 1, Ref. 34).

The result of a kidney transplantation may be affected by certain congenital or acquired urological diseases that need to be addressed before, during or after the kidney transplant. Complications accompanying kidney transplantation are not fundamentally different from the events that accompany other difficult surgical procedures. However, their course is usually modified by adverse circumstances in the recipient - uremia, dialysis treatment, immunosuppression. ⋯ Other complications are bacterial and viral infections and malignancies. All these complications require a rapid and accurate diagnosis and subsequent targeted treatment with intention to maintain a functional kidney transplant (Fig. 11, Ref. 36).
