Important metabolic variables that lead to the development of many diseases, including "mitochondrial diseases," include increased oxidative stress and mitochondrial malfunction. Given that the clinical picture and metabolic alterations in individuals suspected of having mitochondrial illnesses lack distinct characteristics, the development of sensitive and specific diagnostic techniques to detect alterations in mitochondrial bioenergetics is imperative. High-resolution respirometry (HRR), is a minimally invasive technique that enables the analysis of mitochondrial function in platelets taken from peripheral blood. ⋯ When combined with the measurement of endogenous coenzyme Q10 levels, HRR may be an effective approach for early identification of compromised mitochondrial function along with monitoring the therapeutic outcomes. Supplementing with coenzyme Q10, applying molecular hydrogen, transplanting mitochondria, and applying platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are some of the therapeutic strategies utilized to enhance mitochondrial function and reduce oxidative stress (Tab. 1, Fig. 1, Ref. 62). This study aims to explore new treatments for type 1 diabetes that could serve as an alternative or adjunct to insulin therapy. This is a literature review based on a search of relevant scientific articles in PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Cochrane Library databases. The scrutiny of publications revealed that the introduction of glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists into insulin therapy can improve disease control and reduce the frequency of hypoglycaemic episodes. ⋯ While gene therapy holds promise, much of its research is currently in the preclinical stage. Further development of innovative therapies for type 1 diabetes has the potential to enhance the quality of life of patients, improve disease control and prevent the development of complications (Fig. 1, Ref. 54). Keywords: diabetes type 1, treatment, cell therapy, insulin, pancreatic β-cells.

Armeo®Spring therapy improves movement efficiency and contributes to a better quality of life.
The main objective was to explore the effect of exoskeleton-assisted rehabilitation on quality of life in the subacute state of ischemic stroke. ⋯ Armeo®Spring therapy combined with usual care led to significantly larger changes in health-related quality of life and upper extremity movement efficiency compared to conventional rehabilitation (Tab. 4, Fig. 3, Ref. 64.) This study examines triage judgments in emergency settings and compares the outcomes of artificial intelligence models for healthcare professionals. It discusses the disparities in precision rates between subjective evaluations by health professionals with objective assessments of AI systems. ⋯ The study consisted of 86 healthcare professionals, comprising 31 Emergency medicine residents (26.5%), 1 paramedic (0.9%), 5 emergency health technicians (4.3%), and 80 nurses (68.4%). Google Bard AI and OpenAI Chat GPT v.3.5 were used as artificial intelligence systems. The responses compared with the answer key to determine each groups efficacy. As planned the responses from healthcare professionals were analyzed individually for acuity level of scenarios. Emergency medicine residents and other groups of healthcare providers had significantly higher numbers of correct answers compared to Google Bard and Chat GPT (n=30.7 vs n=25.5). There was no significant difference between ChatGPT and Bard for low and high acuity scenarios (p=0.821)CONCLUSION: AI models can examine extensive data sets and make more accurate and quicker triage judgments with sophisticated algorithms. However, in this study, we found that the triage ability of artificial intelligence is not as sufficient as humans. A more efficient triage system can be developed by integrating artificial intelligence with human input, rather than solely relying on technology (Tab. 4, Ref. 41). One of the most prevalent influenceable risk factors for poor cardiovascular outcome is arterial hypertension. This is a prospective analysis of liver transplant recipients in which 24-hour blood pressure (BP) measurement was performed. The primary aim was to identify post-LT (liver transplantation) patients without a history of arterial hypertension who meet the criteria for arterial hypertension using 24-hour BP monitoring. ⋯ Male sex, age and waist circumference should increase the index of suspicion and lead to zoom-in on a possibility of poorly controlled blood pressure. Where automated blood pressure monitoring is unavailable, regular examination of the fundus could serve as an available surrogate marker of suboptimally controlled arterial hypertension (Tab.6, Fig. 1, Ref. 36).
