All over the world, climate change is exerting negative and complex effects on human living conditions and health. In this narrative review, we summarize the current global evidence regarding the effects of climate change on mental health. ⋯ The consequences of climate change are stress factors for mental health. Therefore, as global warming progresses, an increasing incidence and prevalence of mental illness is to be expected. Vulnerable groups, such as the (already) mentally ill, children, and adolescents, need to be protected. At the same time, there is a need for further systematic research on the mechanisms of action and effects of climate change on mental function.

Joint Crisis Plans and Crisis Cards in Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment—a Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial.
Joint Crisis Plans (JCP) and crisis cards (CC) are both instruments designed to improve the management of future psychiatric crisis situations, but they differ, for example, in terms of resource use, legal validity, and aims. International research findings for JCP are inconsistent. ⋯ Although the study showed no superiority of JCP over CC with regard to the primary and secondary outcomes, JCP should be used more frequently in routine practice as an intervention to support a participative approach to treatment.

Refeeding Syndrome-Diagnostic Challenges and the Potential of Clinical Decision Support Systems.
Refeeding syndrome (RFS) can occur in malnourished patients when normal, enteral, or parenteral feeding is resumed. The syndrome often goes unrecognized and may, in the most severe cases, result in death. The diagnosis of RFS can be crucially facilitated by the use of clinical decision support systems (CDSS). ⋯ RFS is difficult to detect and represents a high risk to the patients affected. Appropriate CDSS can identify such patients and ensure proper professional care.
