Treatment adherence is crucial in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) to prevent relapses and complications. In Mexico, there is not a validated tool to assess adherence in patients with IBD. ⋯ The SEAMS and BMQ Spanish versions are valid for measuring self-efficacy and barriers to pharmacological treatment adherence in Mexican patients with IBD.

The low-density lipoprotein (LDL)/high-density lipoprotein (HDL) index is a predictive factor for atherosclerosis, which is associated with oxidative modifications. ⋯ The LDL/HDL index shows an inverse relationship with the antioxidant status and a direct relationship with oxidation status, regardless of other cardiovascular and oxidative stress risk factors.

Empathy is a complex that represents a retouch in its evaluation, so, it is necessary to have instruments validated in the Mexican population. ⋯ The Comic Strip Test was validated with parametric psychometric parameters.
