Factors associated with dermatoporosis in a sample of geriatric patients in Mexico.
Dermatoporosis is a chronic cutaneous fragility syndrome, characterized by skin atrophy, purpura and pseudo-cicatrices. ⋯ The risk factors associated with dermatoporosis were similar to those previously reported.

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic condition with long-term associated risks. ⋯ ADHD symptoms decline as people grow up. Mental health comorbidities and academic dropout were not confirmed in the sample.

Anti-Ro52/TRIM21 antibodies are markers for several systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases (SARD). ⋯ Anti-Ro52/TRIM21 antibodies are associated with aberrant cytokine circuits and elevated levels of angiogenic molecules and neutrophil and monocyte chemoattractants, which suggests an active role for these antibodies in SARD.

Whether political, scientific and medical development in a country is associated with better clinical results according to gender in patients with COVID-19 has not yet been clearly elucidated. ⋯ Health policies, together with clinical and preventive interventions, may explain these results. Response to treatment and behavioral differences may explain why mortality does not decrease for women.

Towards objectivity in ethical assessment: legibility as part of informed consent form comprehension.
The experience on informed consent form (ICF) readability at the Research Ethics Committee of the National Institute of Cancerology of Mexico (INCan) is described. ⋯ It is necessary to have tools that provide objectivity to the evaluation of ICFs under investigation by ethics committees, which should be indicators of their comprehension, such as readability of the documents.
