By the end 2019 there was an outbreak of pneumonia caused by a new coronavirus, a disease that was called coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Computed tomography (CT) has played an important role in the diagnosis of COVID-19 patients. ⋯ Scale 4 (proposed by Wang) showed the best inter-observer agreement, with a coefficient of 0.964 (p = 0.001).

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of mortality in women; preeclampsia (PE) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are associated with an increased risk of CVD. ⋯ GP-reported screening strategies to identify CVD in women with a history of PE and GDM were variable.

The prevalence of Parkinson's disease (PD) increases as the population ages. Studies have shown that some cardiometabolic comorbidities could be associated with risk or protection against developing PD. A retrospective case-control study was carried out to analyze the relationship between PD and cardiometabolic comorbidities. ⋯ Subjects with SAH had a higher risk of having PD, while obese subjects had a lower risk of having PD. The relationship between cardiometabolic disease, its treatment, and PD etiopathogenesis appears to be extremely complex given the amount of contradictory data.

Melanoma epidemiological and prognostic studies are based on Caucasian populations, in whom the predominant subtype is superficially-spreading melanoma and in whom thin melanomas (Breslow < 3 mm) predominate. Mexican patients show a predominance of thick melanomas (Breslow ≥ 3 mm), and the acral subtype is the most common. There are no publications on prognostic factors in thick melanomas. We hypothesize that we will identify factors that determine the prognosis in this group of patients. ⋯ In patients with thick melanomas, overall survival is influenced by mitotic activity, a positive margin, and clinical stage.
