More than 50% of esophageal cancer patients are diagnosed with advanced diseases and commonly experience dysphagia, some of whom even have tracheoesophageal fistula. Self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) is one of the recommended palliative methods, although complications such as chest pain and stent migration are not uncommon. The goal of this study was to examine the predictors of stent migration. ⋯ Fully covered SEMS is a safe and effective strategy to palliate dysphagia or fistula. Tumor across esophagogastric junction and the female sex were higher risk predictors of stent migration. A careful patient selection would optimize the effects of SEMS placement, especially in those with short-expected lifespan.

Primary central nervous system (CNS) germ cell tumors (GCTs) are rare brain tumors that encompass two subtypes: germinomas and non-germinomatous germ cell tumors (NGGCTs), NGGCTs have less favorable outcome and require multi-modality treatment. Biopsy is recommended for disease diagnosis, the specimen may not adequately reflect the entire tumor. This study aimed to assess distinct imaging characteristics to differentiate between GCT subgroups and to identify possible initial image and subgroup features that influence survival. ⋯ Hemorrhage indicates worse prognosis. Intratumoral hemorrhage and ADC ratios differentiate germinoma from NGGCTs. Larger cohorts and advanced MR techniques are needed for future study.

/Purpose: Cuproptosis may play a significant role in breast cancer (BC). We aimed to investigate the prognostic impact of cuproptosis-related lncRNAs in BC. ⋯ The risk-scoring model obtained in this study may serve as a robust prognostic biomarker, potentially aiding in clinical decision-making for BC patients.

Septic shock is a lethal disease, and identifying high-risk patients through noninvasive and widely available biomarkers can help improve global outcomes. While the clinical impact of chloride levels on critically ill patients remains unclear, this study aims to investigate the association between hypochloremia and mortality following ICU admission among septic shock patients. ⋯ Hypochloremia is independently associated with higher hospital mortality, AKI incidence among septic shock patients. However, further high-quality research is necessary to establish the precise relationship between hypochloremia and septic shock prognosis.
