Covering the wounds from guided bone regeneration and sinus floor elevation with oral and sinus mucosa is a fundamental criterion for success. This study aimed to verify the regeneration capability of the mucosal connective tissue stromal cells by characterizing their stemness and osteogenic potentials. ⋯ AMCs contain a high percentage of stem/progenitor cells and show differentiation capability toward osteogenic lineage.

Renal transplantation (RTX) is the treatment of choice for end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). Taiwan has the highest incidence and prevalence of ESKD in this world. This is the first study to illustrate the national registry database of RTX. ⋯ The proportion of preemptive and livingdonor RTX increased but was still low. Despite increased number of commodities in recipients, graft and patient survival have increased recently. Enrolling patients with CKD in pre-ESRD care program was associated with better graft and patient survival.

Estimation of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) epidemic trend and percent of undiagnosed infections is an important measure for the assessment of HIV control programs. In this study, we aimed to investigate and estimate the HIV incidence, HIV prevalence, and percent of undiagnosed HIV infections in Taiwan using the CD4 depletion model. ⋯ We found decreases in the HIV incidence and undiagnosed percentage from 2012 to 2019 in Taiwan. These findings highlight the importance of intensified HIV testing efforts to achieve the global 95-95-95 goals by 2030.
