Effectiveness of cold application and lavender oil on pain during drain removal: A randomized clinical trial.
Analgesics are frequently used to prevent acute pain while removing the drain. Additional non-pharmacological methods have come to the agenda as a result of the fact that the pain cannot be fully controlled, and the pharmacological treatment response is variable. Our research was intended to determine the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy and cold application in controlling pain during drain removal procedure. ⋯ According to the study, it was found that applying lavender and cold application to the patients before the drainage procedure was effective in controlling pain.

The objective was to assess the current knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of parents toward the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride in children's primary teeth and identify related factors. ⋯ The present study demonstrates that SDF is acceptable among Saudi parents/relatives to arrest dental caries. However, pigmentation of anterior teeth is a major concern.

The study determined the proportion of rural parents with good knowledge about and good attitude toward children making their first dental visit by their first birthday. It also assessed the association among age, sex, level of education, past dental visits of parents, and knowledge about and good attitude toward children making their first dental visit by their first birthday. ⋯ More mothers had good knowledge of child dental visits, while more fathers and those with past dental visits had a good attitude toward child dental visits.

Human teeth and nails have demonstrated similar factors genetically, embryologically, and morphologically. The fingernail form may be used as a post-extraction guide for selecting the tooth form. ⋯ A definite correlation exists between maxillary central incisor tooth form and fingernail form. The fingernail form may be used as a post-extraction guide for selecting the maxillary central incisor tooth form in the Saudi Arabian population.

Recent changes across the world with respect to gender transitioning of children and adolescents have generated a bio-psycho-socio-cultural discourse among interest groups. ⋯ The findings of this study, although, preliminary demonstrated less gender dysphoric symptoms in this cohort of Nigerian adolescents and young adults compared to the Western population. Nevertheless, some degree of GD was noticed, revealing that this condition is existent in our society.
