COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy is a major barrier to vaccine uptake, and the achievement of herd immunity is required to reduce morbidity and mortality and protect the most vulnerable populations. In Nigeria, COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy has been high, and uptake remains very low. Healthcare workers (HCWs) in Nigeria can help support public health efforts to increase vaccine uptake. ⋯ There is a moderately high COVID-19 vaccine acceptance rate among HCWs surveyed in our study. The confidence of HCWs in its use and their willingness to recommend it to their patients can provide a potentially useful element in increasing acceptance by the larger population in Nigeria.

Assessment of Incidence, Management and Contributory Factors of Root Canal Instrument Separation in an Endodontics Post- Graduate Program: A Retrospective Clinical Study.
The successful outcome of nonsurgical root canal treatment (NS-RCT) is largely dependent on the technical quality of the procedure. ⋯ Nickel-titanium instruments tend to separate more inside the root canal system than stainless steel instruments. However, under the limitation of this study, the incidence of instrument separation is still quite low, even with postgraduate endodontic residents with limited experience.

The inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) is located in the mandibular canal (MC). It is critical to evaluate the position of the MC during treatment planning to prevent intra or postoperative complications. ⋯ Although previously, the dental canal was considered as an anatomical variation, this study revisited the classification and suggested that dental canals are anatomical structures.

One of the major problems of everyday dental practice is cross-contamination. It can place office personnel, dentists, and patients at risk of acquiring serious illness. Disinfection helps in controlling this cross-contamination to an extent. The evaluation was done to find the efficient disinfection method on gypsum casts. ⋯ Within the limitations of the study, the microwave method of disinfection is more effective in eradicating microorganisms when compared to chemical methods of disinfection by immersion and spray methods.

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and short-term comorbidity data moderate-to-late preterm (MLP) infants in Saudi Arabia are limited. ⋯ Any-stage ROP incidence among MLP infants was low, with no type 1 ROP cases requiring treatment. Short-term comorbidity incidence was relatively high among the moderate preterm infants. Despite the low non-type 1 ROP incidence at our center, MLP infants require proper surveillance of systemic short-term comorbidities.
