Acute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory disease of the pancreas, the frequency of which increases in childhood. ⋯ Sociocultural and demographic data of the patients should also be taken into account. Gene sequences that cause to genetic predisposition should be determined in recurrent and chronic pancreatitis cases. Acute pancreatitis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with frequent abdominal pain and vomiting.

Discharge against medical advice (DAMA) is when a patient decides to leave the hospital without the consent of the treating physician. It poses serious clinical, ethical, and legal challenges to the individual physician as well as the hospital. ⋯ The study findings indicate a low DAMA rate when compared to previous studies in this region. It also indicates that financial constraints, family preference for unorthodox care, and low educational status are major drivers of DAMA. Deepened health insurance and other measures that can reduce the prevalence of DAMA should be prioritized to improve treatment outcomes.

The Relationship between Choroidal Thickness and Liver Damage in Simple Auto-immune Hepatitis Patients.
There was no sufficient clinical evidence on the relationship between auto-immune hepatitis (AIH) and risk of eye illness, except 11 uveitis cases where related AIH is reported currently. ⋯ The improvement of ChT might reflect the remission of liver damage in simple AIH patients without ocular symptoms during oral prednisone treatment.

Nighttime blood pressure dipping is a normal physiologic phenomenon. Lack of dipping is associated with increased cardiovascular disease; thus, non-dipping patients are candidates for more strict risk reduction strategies. Dipping presence can be identified using ambulatory blood pressure measurement (ABPM). Recent findings indicate that inflammatory, metabolic, and liver-related indices may have a role in predicting dipping presence dichotomously. ⋯ This study showed for the first time that there was a negative correlation between inflammatory and metabolic indices and dipping ratios.

During the course of a non-surgical orthograde endodontic retreatment, supplementary instrumentation is usually required for better removal of root canal filling material. ⋯ The combined action of Mtwo-R retreatment files and XP-Endo Finisher R resulted in significant reduction of the amount of root canal filling material. Nevertheless, none of the examined rotary systems guaranteed its complete removal.
