To find out the effect of playing video games on cognitive abilities among teenagers. ⋯ Gamers exhibit better range of cognitive abilities specifically involving analogy, processing speed, deductive reasoning and mathematical intelligence. In this study, those who play video games on long term basis, showed improvement in cognitive abilities, in comparison to those who do not indulge in gaming activities.

To determine the prevalence, reasons of use, reported hygienic practices, and complications related to CLs' usage, and to assess awareness of medical students about CLs' hygienic behaviours, King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. ⋯ A relatively high prevalence of CLs' usage was found. Participants were aware about CLs-hygienic practices. However, unhygienic CLs-related practices and complications were also reported. Provision of educational messages and training on sound CLs' hygienic practices are needed.

To evaluate the curriculum for Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programme based on World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) standards. ⋯ As per WFME standards the curriculum for DPT program needs improvements in student's assessments and their participation in program management, evaluation, mission statement and designing, along with facilitation in student's activities, organizations. Strengths of the curriculum were integration of behavioral and social sciences, readiness for postgraduate studies, institutional autonomy and academic freedom for the development and designing of curriculum, and the participation of other stakeholders.

Menorrhagia is one of the common complaints presenting in gynaecology outdoor and clinics. Menorrhagia is defined as excessive uterine bleeding occurring at regular intervals or prolonged uterine bleeding lasting for more than seven days. This is a very distressing condition effecting almost all ages, and has multiple causes. The objective of this study was to determine effect of menorrhagia on quality of life of a woman. ⋯ Health care providers should have knowledge to treat patients with menorrhagia, also future qualitative studies should be done to determine perception of patients regarding treatment and management of menorrhagia.
