To determine the hematological indices and ratios derived from them in patients with fibromyalgia and to correlate the scores of Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire Revised (FIQR) with the ratios. ⋯ We conclude that the hematological indices are significantly altered and they are significantly correlated with the total score of fibromyalgia impact questionnaire revised.

Schizophrenia is serious illness with high comorbidity of other psychiatric illnesses such as substance abuse disorders, depression and anxiety disorder. The dual diagnosis of schizophrenia and anorexia nervosa in an adolescent male is a rare occurrence and is understudied. The case presented is of a 12-year-old boy with complaints of auditory hallucinations, odd behaviors, paranoid delusions and suicidal attempt along with body image distortion, dread of fatness, food restriction and very low Body mass Index. This case report, describe the comorbidity of schizophrenia and anorexia nervosa by highlighting its assessment and treatment in light of available literature.

We determined the bacterial contamination and antibiotic resistance profile of circulating Pakistani currency notes collected from hospital and community sources. ⋯ The currency notes circulating in hospital and community are contaminated with highly pathogenic and some multi-drug resistant bacteria. These currency notes could be a potential source of nosocomial and community-acquired infections.

To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects of excision of invaded sacrospinous ligament on pelvic cavity pain caused by endometriosis. ⋯ Sacrospinous ligament excision relieved pain caused by endometriosis, so it may be applicable to the endometriosis patients with sacrospinous ligament infiltration or severe pain.

The study aimed to demonstrate the pattern of clinical presentations and outcome of acute Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) in our Centre. ⋯ Majority of patients presenting to our tertiary care centre had severe acute ITP on presentation. After management and follow-up, almost 1/3 of the patients develop chronic disease hence the incidence of developing chronic disease remained high as compared to the other centers.
