To determine the frequency of an increase in intraocular pressure (IOP) after intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (IVTA) in diabetic versus non-diabetic patients with various chorio-retinal disorders. ⋯ After IVTA, an IOP rise was observed more in diabetics than non-diabetic patients.

To explore the clinical effects upon gap nonunion of antibiotic-loaded bone cement spacer combined with membrane induction on infected bone defects. ⋯ The antibiotic-loaded cement spacer can control the local infection while maintaining the limb length and increasing the stability, reducing the contracture of bone and soft tissue, creating conditions for subsequent repair and reducing the infection rate of bone defects.

To observe the changes and correlations of serum interleukins (ILs), adhesion molecules and soluble E-selectin (sE-selectin) in children with allergic rhinitis, asthma and both diseases. ⋯ Serum IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, adhesion molecules and sE-selectin are all involved in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis and asthma, which can be used to evaluate the degrees of respiratory allergic diseases.

To share our initial experience of patient undergoing anastomotic Urethroplasty and trial without catheter, without post Urethroplasty pericatheter urethrogram. ⋯ We found pericatheter urethrogram is not mandatory as a routine for all tension free anastomotic Urethroplasty before per urethral catheter removal. However, it may have a role in difficult cases with tension anastomoses or re-do procedure. This will avoid risk of infection, radiation exposure and extra cost.

To analyze the significance of myocardial enzymes, cardiac troponin T (cTnT) and hepatic and renal function in the treatment of severe pneumonia in children. ⋯ Timely monitoring of myocardial enzymes, hepatic and renal function and cTnT has an extremely important role in the evaluation of children with severe pneumonia.
