To document our experience of initial management of Cloacal malformation in female patients. ⋯ Majority of cloacal malformations present in neonatal life. Initial management is an important step in dealing with these patients. Care must be taken during the abdominal exploration regarding drainage of hydrocolpos and appropriate placement of bowel stoma.

The purpose of this quasi-experimental study was to developing web-based, anonymous reporting system to increase reporting of medication errors, blood transfusion errors and patient falls in pediatric units and to compare the computerized system with the written system already in use at the institution. ⋯ The web-based reporting system, which makes reporting easy, promoted the development of safety culture among doctors and nurses in common language.

In the treatment of primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP), the influence of safety and applicability of uniportal video assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) bullectomy/blebectomy and pleurectomy method were evaluated in 46 patients. ⋯ With video thoracoscopic uniportal technique, not only lung biopsy and resection but also bullectomy/blebectomy and pleurectomy operations can be performed safely in the treatment of PSP. In view of this information, minimally invasive techniques are seen as more advantageous than conventional techniques.

To investigate gender role in quality of life, anxiety, and depression in chronic kidney disease patients. The study hypothesized that men will score high on depression and, anxiety and will score low on quality of life and perceived social support as compare to women. ⋯ Male showed more depression, anxiety as compared to females while women reported poor quality of life as compared to men.

Chronic rhino sinusitis (CRS) is an inflammatory condition of the paranasal sinuses and the nasal passage lasting more than three months either with or without sinonasal polyps. This study aimed to report the common sinonasal lesions associated with CRS according to the histopathology results, to compare between clinical and histopathological diagnoses, and to compare between radiological and histopathological diagnoses of the sinonasal lesions. ⋯ Inflammatory and allergic polyps are the most common benign bilateral lesions associated with chronic rhinosinusitis, which can be correctly diagnosed clinically in most cases. Unilateral nasal polyps have high rates of malignancies and should be check carefully by endoscopy and histopathology. Computed tomography has some pitfalls in diagnosing of fungal sinusitis.
