To explore the correlation of procalcitonin (PCT) and gelsolin (GSN) with the prognosis of urosepsis patients. ⋯ The serum PCT and plasma GSN levels can accurately predict the severity and prognosis of urosepsis patients and reflect the disease state of early urosepsis patients. High PCT levels and low GSN levels indicate poor prognosis, and clinicians should consider these values.

The main objective of the present study was to explore the frequency of Depression, anxiety and stress among university students in Sialkot, Pakistan. ⋯ It is concluded that symptoms of anxiety and stress are more prevalent with moderate to extremely severe range than depression in the current sample. These findings suggest urgent need of some preventive measures and interventions to improve the mental health of students.

To determine the trends of utilization of CBC parameters in patient management among doctors in different hospitals in Kashmir, Pakistan. ⋯ The present study concludes that majority of the physicians utilize only three of the basic parameters on the complete blood count. An educational intervention can be planned for the physicians to increase their knowledge about the utility of other parameters.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a common inflammatory disorder affected by various factors, including fasting. The objective of the study was to establish the effect of Ramadan fasting on DAS 28 in Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. ⋯ DAS 28 score decreased in both non-fasting as well as fasting patients of RA during the month of Ramadan. RA patients with moderate disease activity, who want to keep fast, can be allowed to do so without any fear of disease worsening.
