To evaluate the diagnostic value of the rtRT-PCR test and CT in patients presenting with typical clinical symptoms of COVID-19. ⋯ It should be noted that a negative result in the rtRT-PCR test does not rule out the possibility of COVID-19 diagnosis in patients whose symptom duration is longer than five days, who are elderly with comorbidities and in particular who present with fever and shortness of breath. In these patients, typical CT findings are diagnostic for COVID-19. A normal chest CT is no reason to loosen up measures of isolation in patients with newly beginning symptoms until the results are obtained from the PCR test.

To identify the risk factors of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of lower limb in patients undergoing lumbar fusion surgeries, to provide a better understanding of DVT and take prophylactic measures. ⋯ Those patients undergoing lumbar fusion surgeries should take more prophylactic measures including postoperative exercises if they were elderly, or hypertensive, or have high D-dimer level, in order to decrease the incidence of DVT.

In this study, we aimed to make a comprehensive comparison of the first hundred robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) and open retropubic radical prostatectomy (RRP) cases of a single surgeon in a high-volume center. ⋯ RARP may provide better perioperative outcomes and lower complication rates after the surgeon factor is eliminated in the early period. Since our case group includes the initial 100 patients, studies with larger patient groups with longer follow-up are needed to adapt these early results to general outcomes.

To explore the value of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) in predicting microvascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). ⋯ Microvascular invasion of HCC can be predicted by MSCT manifestations before surgery.

To develop a clinical technique for objective estimation of exact location and degree of participation of face and neck soft tissues in age-related deformations for determine effective mini-invasive treatment techniques. ⋯ Ultrasound examination is a non-invasive, harmless, clinically available, inexpensive examination that allows to determine exact localization and degree of participation of different soft tissues of face and neck in age-related changes. That is very important for planning and use different minimally invasive techniques for facial and neck rejuvenation.
