To determine the frequency of place of delivery and person detecting the anomaly among newborn babies presenting with delayed diagnosis of anorectal malformation (ARM). ⋯ It is concluded that Non-medical person detected ARM mainly despite the babies being delivered mostly at the hospital, indicating the need for meticulous neonatal examination.

To determine the susceptibility pattern and frequency of isolation of multidrug, pre-extensively drug and extensively drug resistant TB in a tertiary care hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. ⋯ A considerable number of drug resistant tuberculosis cases were identified in the present study. It is essential to develop further strategies to reduce the spread of this disease.

To investigate the value of urine immunofixation electrophoresis in prognostic evaluation of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with myeloma. ⋯ Patients with IgG type myeloma are superior to those with IgA, IgM and light chain type in terms of the prognosis of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which has a certain clinical reference value.

To evaluate the clinical effects of erlotinib combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer. ⋯ Erlotinib combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy has been preliminarily proved to be safe and effective in the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer, which can improve the physical condition of patients to a certain extent without significantly increasing adverse reactions.

To observe and analyse the efficacy of retrograde sural neurofasciocutaneous flap repair combined with Jingulian capsules to treat foot and ankle soft tissue defects. ⋯ Retrograde sural neurofasciocutaneous flap repair combined with Jingulian capsules is a protocol that improves efficacy for soft tissue defects in the foot and ankle, which are worthy of promotion and practice.
