To assess knowledge and perception among Pakistani physicians towards sepsis. ⋯ A common belief exists that sepsis remains a challenge to treat among doctors. Moreover, there is consensus that it is the most frequently miss diagnosed condition in critical care and a dire need exists for its early diagnosis. Additionally, prompt management of presumed sepsis is imperative to improve outcomes.

Health Problems & Barriers to Healthcare Services for the Transgender Community in Lahore, Pakistan.
To find out the major health problems and barriers in getting health care by transgender community in Lahore, Pakistan. ⋯ Transgender community face physical, mental, social and reproductive health issues. About 70% trans-genders receive poor quality of health care services. Non acceptance, feeling ashamed, non-availability of CNIC and non-affordability have been reported as major barriers in getting desired health care.

This study aimed to evaluate the etiology, outcomes and prognostic factors associated with status epilepticus (SE) admissions in Neurology Department of a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ Male gender, poor control of seizures, CNS infections, prolonged seizures, delayed hospital arrival and refractory/super-refractory status epilepticus were key determinants of mortality in our setting. Previous history of status epilepticus, and acute and symptomatic etiologies were associated with higher morbidity.

To compare different methods of calculating adequacy of hemodialysis in terms of Kt/V. ⋯ Online clearance monitoring can be used for measuring adequacy of hemodialysis, but OCM slightly underestimates Kt/V as compared to Daugirdas formula and Normogram.

To determine epidemiology of in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) in a tertiary care hospital, pre- and during pandemic. ⋯ Despite the limitation of a small sample size, our study has provided important information regarding the epidemiology and outcomes of IHCA pre- and during pandemic in a busy Pakistani tertiary care hospital. Our finding that gender differences exist in survival pre- and during pandemic needs to be explored further with more hospitals doing comparative studies.
