To explore the effect of phased therapeutic intervention in improving the long-term prognosis of new hemodialysis(HD) patients. ⋯ Phased therapeutic intervention can significantly enhance the compliance of new HD patients, as well as further improve their anemia and cardiac function, and reduce inflammatory responses. Therefore, it is worthy of clinical application.

Blood Stream Infections (BSI) are considered a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). We aimed to identify risk factors for BSI upon admission, highlight clinical and microbiological findings and ascertain the frequency of mortality in patients with BSI in SJS/TEN. ⋯ Vigilant monitoring and early detection of BSI in SJS/TEN patients, especially those presenting with high SCORTEN scores can enhance clinical outcomes.

We aimed to elucidate the effectiveness of Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2-I) in the reduction of ALT among Type-2 diabetes patients (T2DM) with Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). ⋯ We observed an average reduction in mean ALT levels when SGLT2Is was initiated in T2DM patients having NAFLD. Apart from encouraging diet and lifestyle modification, early intervention with SGLT2Is may decrease liver-related morbidity and mortality resulting from NAFLD.

To assess the knowledge, attitude and perception of post-graduate residents of neurosciences towards research ethics (RE) and research ethics committees (RECs). ⋯ Our research uncovered a significant correlation between participants' perceptions of RE and RECs and their comprehension of ethical principles. These findings indicate that medical postgraduates with a deeper understanding or awareness of research ethics principles and RECs tend to hold more robust attitudes toward these aspects.
