To evaluate the Outcomes of Fenestration of Lamina Terminalis for Hydrocephalus following Clipping of Ruptured Aneurysms of Anterior Circulation. ⋯ Reducing the likelihood of shunt-dependent hydrocephalus after ruptured aneurysm clipping can be achieved using lamina terminalis fenestration, regardless of fisher grade. It assists in preventing excessive brain retraction, decreasing intracranial pressure, raising brain perfusion, cisternal blood cleansing, and lowering the need for a ventriculoperitoneal shunt in cases of persistent hydrocephalus. Consequently, to reduce the incidence of shunt-dependent hydrocephalus, we recommend routine lamina terminalis fenestration following anterior circulation aneurysm clipping.

We aimed to elucidate the effectiveness of Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2-I) in the reduction of ALT among Type-2 diabetes patients (T2DM) with Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). ⋯ We observed an average reduction in mean ALT levels when SGLT2Is was initiated in T2DM patients having NAFLD. Apart from encouraging diet and lifestyle modification, early intervention with SGLT2Is may decrease liver-related morbidity and mortality resulting from NAFLD.

To determine the effect of Bilateral Subthalamic Nucleus (STN) Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) on drug reduction for Parkinson's disease (PD) in a low-middle-income country. ⋯ When the disease is in its early stages and has not yet manifested advanced Parkinsons symptoms, bilateral STN DBS is an effective treatment option. It considerably reduces the need for levodopa and significantly improves the motor symptoms of rigidity, tremors, and bradykinesia.

The objective of the study was to assess the efficacy and safety profile of 2nd line Anti TB drugs in DR TB patients in a tertiary care hospital of South Punjab. ⋯ The study findings suggest the efficacy of second-line anti-TB drug regimens in achieving sputum smear conversion and positive treatment outcomes in patients with MDR-TB. However, the occurrence of ADRs highlights the need for careful monitoring and management during treatment.

To observe the outcome of surgical clipping in anterior circulation aneurysm in a modestly resourced hospital. ⋯ Surgical clipping of anterior circulation aneurysms is a safe and effective treatment, yielding favorable angiographic outcomes. Despite occasional complications, most patients achieved satisfactory results, especially in a setting having limited endovascular facilities or when coiling is not feasible. Future comparative studies with endovascular methods will further refine patient selection and surgical techniques.
