The most frequently used surgical methods for treating cholesteatoma include canal wall up and canal wall down procedures. The objective of the study was to compare the hearing improvement among children with cholesteatoma who underwent canal wall up and canal wall down surgical management. ⋯ Our data collected after a one-year follow-up of patients suggests canal wall up as a preferred technique for hearing improvement than canal wall down technique.

To determine the clinical spectrum and underlying etiologies of children presented with precocious puberty at The Children's Hospital &The Institute of Child health, Lahore. ⋯ Precocious puberty could be a manifestation of underlying serious medical condition. It should be thoroughly evaluated with the aim to diagnose the underlying pathology and to treat them promptly.

To study the value of serum miR21, human epididymal secretory protein 4 (HE4) and carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) in the surveillance for postoperative recurrent or metastatic ovarian cancer. ⋯ Elevated expression of miR-21, HE4, and CA125 in serum is closely associated with the disease status of ovarian cancer. Therefore, the simultaneous detection of these tumor markers has some diagnostic value for postoperative recurrence and metastasis of ovarian cancer.

To investigate the prognostic significant of lymph node ratio and surgical margins in patients with colon cancer undergoing surgery. ⋯ A high metastatic LNR is associated with poorer overall and disease-free survival.

This study examined gynaecologists' experience and views on the management of vaginal vault prolapse (VVP) using laproscopic sarcocolpopexy (LSCP) versus open sarcocolpopexy (OSCP). ⋯ This study showed that the acceptability of LSCP was dependent on participants' experience and consideration of the balance between patient's goals and potential risks. It provides useful guidance for future large-scale projects.
