Lemierre's Syndrome (LS) is a rare syndrome most frequently due to an anaerobic organism, Fusobacterium Necrophorum. It is commonly a complication of an acute oropharyngeal infection, but there are exceptions to its presentations. In our case the cause of LS was otitis media caused by Streptococcus species. ⋯ After the diagnosis, treatment involved using broad spectrum antibiotics and anticoagulants, followed by surgery. Though role of anticoagulants is controversial in LS, but there is no specific guideline contraindicating the use of anti-coagulants. In our case, timely diagnosis and management enabled us to discharge the patient without any symptoms.

Sepsis is one of the leading causes of direct maternal mortality in Pakistan. It is recommended that the first three hours after the presentation are crucial. During this time implementation of surviving sepsis campaign resuscitation bundles reduces maternal mortality. Our objective was to assess the factors contributing to puerperal sepsis and the compliance of "surviving sepsis campaign resuscitation bundles in puerperal sepsis" for the management of puerperal sepsis. ⋯ There was moderate adherence of modified surviving sepsis campaign resuscitation bundles. Further improvement in compliance is warranted.

Since the start of January 2019, COVID-19 has caused unparalleled disruption to all aspects of life globally, including the delivery of medical education. Each university and institution have a different approach on how medicine, as a course, is taught and delivered, however, generally there is a consensus that in the earlier years, more emphasis should be given to the acquisition of theoretical and scientific knowledge, including anatomy and physiology. In the later years, medical students are then expected to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting by attending various placements and interacting with patients and other healthcare professionals. ⋯ Clinical rotations were cancelled during the start of the pandemic due to concerns about the students and their families contracting the virus and also for the protection of the vulnerable patients in hospitals. In this manuscript we have explored the adaptations made in order to deliver medical education and evaluate the effectiveness of these methods. We will also be discussing the implications and limitations of these methods.

To evaluate the effect of Rose Bengal (RB), methylene blue (MB) and curcumin used as a canal disinfectant on the extrusion bond strength (EBS) of FRCP (fiber reinforced composite resin) with canal dentin. ⋯ Root canal dentin treated with different PS (MBP, CP, and RBP) demonstrated better EBS than the conventional disinfecting regime (NaOCl +17% EDTA). CP and RBP displayed better EBS than MBP.
