To determine the effectiveness of mechanical traction in supine versus prone lying position for lumbosacral radiculopathy. ⋯ Lumbar traction in prone lying position is more effective than lumbar traction in supine lying position for the treatment of chronic lumbosacral radiculopathy.

To evaluate the outcome of anti-HP treatment on the nutritional status of children with Helicobacter pylori-positive gastritis. ⋯ Helicobacter pylori infection has a negative impact on the nutritional status of children. Anti-HP therapy can improve the gastrointestinal symptoms and nutritional status of children, which plays an important role in the growth and development of children.

Vincristine has been used as chemotherapeutic agent for many decades. It implements its function by inhibiting the duplication of tumor cells by destroying the DNA. However, like all other drugs, its administration is not without any side effects. The most important of these are being the neurotoxic side effects. This study evaluated the degree of neurotoxicity induced by vincristine in children who underwent chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia and Wilms tumor. ⋯ Vincristine regimen produces some neurotoxic side effects in children but nearly all of these are of mild to moderate in nature.

Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is emerging as a major public health problem globally especially in patients with Type-2 Diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This study aimed to assess the frequency of NAFLD in patients with T2DM and to study its associated risk factors. ⋯ High frequency of NAFLD along with its associated clinical and laboratory risk factors were revealed. This underpins the significance of screening T2DM patients for NAFLD and assessment for and modification of its associated risk factors in routine clinical practice.

To investigate the clinical value of Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI) combined with low dose CT scanning in differential diagnosis of thyroid lesions and tumor staging. ⋯ SMI combined with low dose CT scanning has a higher diagnostic coincidence rate. Its sensitivity and accuracy are significantly superior. With the increase of tumor malignancy, the enhancement and unhomogeneity of SMI increase, and the edge is more blurred. That suggests: with the increase of tumor malignancy, neovascularization in the tumor is more obvious and more unevenly distributed; the increase of edge blur indicates more obvious tumor infiltration. The method has considerable clinical value for predicting the malignancy of tumors.
