To determine number of sessions of Endoscopic variceal band ligation required to obliterate the esophageal varices. ⋯ Most patients underwent 3-4 sessions of EVBL for obliteration of varices. Number of EVBL sessions increased significantly with duration of disease.

To determine frequency of post induction and post consolidation minimal residual disease (MRD) in pediatric B-lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) patients and its association with clinical risk factors. ⋯ Despite high frequency of MRD positivity, significant association is not observed between post induction MRD and risk factors. However, post consolidation MRD has a significant association with NCI risk groups, age and CNS status.

To describe the demographics; clinical, laboratory, echocardiographic findings; treatment and outcome in a cohort of children with Kawasaki disease in a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ Complete KD was present in 72% of our cohort of children. Coronary artery abnormalities were present in one third of these children, at younger age and more common in those with incomplete KD but recovered in most.

Surgical site infections (SSIs) usually manifest post-discharge, rendering accurate diagnosis and treatment challenging, thereby catalyzing the development of alternate strategies like self-monitored SSI surveillance. This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of patients and Infection Control Monitors (ICMs) to develop a replicable method of SSI-detection. ⋯ Patients cannot self-diagnose a SSI reliably. However, diagnostic accuracy of ICMs is significantly higher and they may serve as a proxy for surgeons, thereby reducing the burden on specialized surgical workforce in LMICs. Regardless, supplementing post-discharge follow-up with patient self-screening could increase SSI-detection and reduce burden on health systems.

Vascular anomalies are a diverse group of lesions, ranging from simple to complex, disfiguring anomalies. Our objective was to diagnose and provide comprehensive treatment to patients presenting with vascular anomalies, using a multi-disciplinary approach involving dermatologists, plastic surgeons, radiologists and pediatric surgeons. ⋯ Vascular anomalies have mostly been managed successfully at VAC using single or multimodal treatment. Increasingly complex anomalies can be handled using a multi-disciplinary approach. Establishment of VAC has facilitated many patients who were earlier considered as diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.
