In the system related to health care, shifting duties are considered essential and obligatory to make sure the stability of care in hospitals. Scheduling and shifting are the key uniqueness of shift work and nurses are mostly bounded into different schedules that facilitate 24-hour care. Our objective was to identify the impact of morning and rotational duties on physical health of nurses working in tertiary care hospitals. ⋯ This research concludes that nurses working in rotational duties were more prone to develop physical problem as compared to morning duties. Energy/Fatigue showed significant mean difference.

Sigmoid Volvulus (SV) and Ileosigmoid Knotting (ISK) are rare intestinal obstruction forms, but Turkey is endemic for these diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of our publications in the world literature. ⋯ Arising from our 1,008-case SV and 80-case ISK experiences over a 52-year period between June 1966 and July 2018, our clinic has an important role in the data production and publication for SV and ISK. It seems that our clinic may provide several more documents in the years to come.

To review the current status of departments of medical education in all public and private medical colleges located in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. ⋯ There is an increasing recognition towards establishing DMEs in the medical colleges, but their infrastructure, proper functioning and availability of human and financial resources are serious impediments requiring immediate attention.

Menorrhagia is one of the common complaints presenting in gynaecology outdoor and clinics. Menorrhagia is defined as excessive uterine bleeding occurring at regular intervals or prolonged uterine bleeding lasting for more than seven days. This is a very distressing condition effecting almost all ages, and has multiple causes. The objective of this study was to determine effect of menorrhagia on quality of life of a woman. ⋯ Health care providers should have knowledge to treat patients with menorrhagia, also future qualitative studies should be done to determine perception of patients regarding treatment and management of menorrhagia.
