Total anomalous pulmonary venous return is an uncommon cyanotic congenital heart defect. Echocardiography is the initial diagnostic tool. Complimentary non-invasive modalities like cardiac computerized tomographic angiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging have replaced the need for cardiac catheterization in difficult cases. This study aimed to determine the accuracy of echocardiography in diagnosing total anomalous pulmonary venous return, and to determine the factors that may decrease its sensitivity. ⋯ Echocardiography can diagnose isolated total anomalous pulmonary venous return with high accuracy. Use of additional modalities may be required for a complete diagnosis in cases with mixed variety, heterotaxy and poor acoustic windows.

The protocol of 15% BhCG decrease between Days four and seven is frequently used for evaluating the success of methotrexate administration in treating ectopic pregnancy. Our objective was to study the usage of hematologic parameters for evaluating the success of methotrexate administration in treating ectopic pregnancy. ⋯ NLR can also be used as an alternative to BhCG for evaluating the success of single-dose methotrexate administration in treating ectopic pregnancy. However, there is need for further studies on this topic.

To find out the clinical effects of post hysteroscopic progesterone hormone therapy in the treatment of endometrial polyps in terms of clinical outcome and the expression of endometrial Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). ⋯ Post hysteroscopic progesterone hormone therapy has favorable clinical effect in treating endometrial polyps as it can effectively prevent the recurrence of endometrial polyps, relieve the level of hemoglobin and reduce endometrial thickness.

To explore the effectiveness of controlled blood pressure elevation and limited fluid resuscitation in treating patients with multiple injuries in combination with shock in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). ⋯ Controlled blood pressure elevation in combination with limited fluid resuscitation is more effective than conventional fluid resuscitation in the treatment of patients with multiple injuries and shock in ICU as it can shorten recovery time, improve microcirculation perfusion and prognosis, and reduce related complications and fatality rate.
