Intrapelvic Kirschner wire Migration following Developmental Dysplasia of Hip Surgery and Laparoscopic Removal.
Salter innominate osteotomy remains the most commonly performed pelvic osteotomy for the Developmental Dysplasia of Hip in children after 18 months of age up to six years. Kirschner wire (K- wire) is used to fix the bone graft across the osteotomy site. ⋯ We present a case of a 2-year-old girl with Right sided Developmental Dysplasia of Hip who underwent Femoral shortening and Salter innominate osteotomy, presented three months later with intrapelvic migration of k-wire. Paediatric Surgery consult was obtained and K-wire was removed laparoscopically without any complications successfully.

Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) is an uncommon, idiosyncratic, potentially fatal dermatologic emergency affecting skin and mucous membranes. It is characterized clinically by blistering and widespread exfoliation, and pathologically by apoptosis of keratinocytes and epidermal necrosis. Drugs are one of the most common causative agents. ⋯ The patient being reported developed TEN, secondary to lamotrigine; an anti-epileptic drug also used for bipolar disorder. On admission, lamotrigine was discontinued, he was managed symptomatically and given IVIG for three days. His condition started to improve after the first dose and he got discharged on 6th day of admission.

To identify the most appropriate tools to measure functions of the brain that can be utilized in the clinical setups of developing countries. ⋯ The clinicians in developing countries can utilize the visual fields, pure tone audiometry, Mini-Mental State Exam, Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, Romberg's test and Manual Muscle Testing for most efficient, feasible, accurate and cost-effective measurement of brain functions.

To assess the impact of a single esketamine intravenous (IV) injection on the quality of recovery during early period after modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer. ⋯ Single intravenous injection of esketamine can improve the quality of the recovery of breast cancer patients during the early period after the modified radical mastectomy.

To compare the trainees' perception of the Educational Environment (EE) of the two parallel post-graduate training programs (MD & FCPS) in Pediatric Medicine. ⋯ The Pediatric Medicine trainees' perception of the educational environment in the FCPS and MD groups was comparable overall and in all three domains. Individual item analysis showed almost similar areas for improvement in both programs.
