The Burden of Unavailable Drugs Cost to Patients Admitted to Internal Medicine Ward of Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital.
To assess the burden of unavailable drugs cost to patients admitted to TikurAnbessa Specialized Hospital's internal medicine ward. Costs of medications obtained inside and outside the pharmacy and other burdens associated with drugs' unavailability are also estimated and explored. ⋯ The study came up with a result that the hospital pharmacy has high unavailability of medication. Patients complain about unwanted and unreasonably expenditure to purchase pharmaceuticals from outside pharmacies and associated delayed treatment.

The Relationship on Exercise Anticipation, Function and Self-efficacy in Patients After Knee Surgeries Over Six Months: An Observational Study.
To explore the association between the exercise anticipation, function and self-efficacy in patients after knee surgeries over six months and to identify the predictors for rehabilitation. ⋯ This preliminary study confirmed that improving the exercise anticipation and rehabilitation self-efficacy is an important method of enhancing the knee function in patients after knee surgeries over six months. In the future, the long-term effect of the exercise anticipation and self-efficacy should be researched.

Examining Parental Treatment Decisions Within a Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry Private Practice.
The primary objective of this study was to compare relationships between child, parent, and clinical factors with patient-level treatment decisions for early childhood caries. A secondary objective was to describe children that received silver diamine fluoride (SDF) as interim versus long-term treatment. ⋯ The present study identified child dental anxiety as the primary factor associated with treatment decisions at this private practice. The characterization of two subgroups of children treated with SDF has meaningful implications for studies evaluating the economic and public health impacts of SDF.

Patients' Perception of Factors Influencing Noncompliance with Medication among Cardiac Patients in Fiji: A Qualitative Study.
Noncompliance with prescribed medication leads to disease progression, which often leads to premature deaths. It often leads to worsening symptoms of cardiac conditions and hospitalization. Due to the lack of previous research, this study aimed to explore the factors contributing to noncompliance with medication in cardiac patients in Fiji. ⋯ Noncompliance with medication in cardiac patients contributes to worsening cardiac disease and premature deaths. For factors related to noncompliance, awareness can be raised in SOPD clinics for patients to realize the effects of noncompliance and provide ways to improve compliance. Providing professional counseling services for all SOPD patients would greatly help in increasing compliance with medication in Fiji.

Impact of Service Quality on In-Patients' Satisfaction, Perceived Value, and Customer Loyalty: A Mixed-Methods Study from a Developing Country.
Recent literature on healthcare quality demands more contextualized and patient-perspective research, as models from developed countries are not suitable for developing countries. Moreover, research on private healthcare services in Vietnam has long been underestimated by academia, but it has significant economic and commercial value. Hence, this study explores the dimensions of service quality in private healthcare and how they impact in-patient satisfaction, perceived value, and customer loyalty in Vietnam. ⋯ The study suggests that private healthcare providers and the government in Vietnam should allocate resources to improve service quality. Practitioners should invest in social branding and e-services to reach out to their customers. Future research should focus on a cost-benefit analysis and compare the effectiveness of service quality dimensions on customer behavioral intention.
