Instrument for Assessing Patients' Desirability, Acceptability, and Adherence to Telemedicine in Diabetes: Development, Validity, and Reliability.
To develop, test, and validate an instrument for assessing patients' desirability, acceptability, and adherence to telemedicine in diabetes. ⋯ The developed questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument in assessing the patients' acceptability, desirability, and adherence to telemedicine use in diabetes care. In addition, the use of this instrument in the development of telemedicine platforms may improve and optimize their usage by providing valuable information regarding patients' preferences and specific needs.

Patients' Involvement in Decision-Making During Healthcare in a Developing Country: A Cross-Sectional Study.
Patient autonomy and participation have a significant impact on patient satisfaction and compliance with treatment. We aimed to establish and describe the level of shared decision-making (SDM) among the patients in a developing country. Uganda is a low resource country with a 2019 GDP of 35.17 billion US dollars. In some regions, over 60% of Ugandans live below the national poverty line and most of them depend on the underfunded health care system. ⋯ The majority of patients attending Kisenyi Health Center IV did not adequately participate in SDM. Continued medical education should be organized for healthcare professionals to promote SDM.

Maternal Knowledge Associated with the Prevalence of Iron and Folic Acid Supplementation Among Pregnant Women in Muntinlupa, Philippines: A Cross-Sectional Study.
The World Health Organization advocates that all pregnant women in areas where anemia is prevalent receive supplements of iron and folic acid. However, owing to a myriad of factors, the uptake of iron and folic acid supplementation (IFAS) is still low in many countries. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the prevalence of IFAS and its associated factors among pregnant women. ⋯ Maternal knowledge about the benefits of taking IFAS was significantly associated with the prevalence of IFAS among pregnant women in Muntinlupa, Philippines. There is a pressing need to improve health education on the benefits of IFAS among pregnant women to increase its prevalence. This emphasizes the necessity of increased involvement of health care providers and CHWs to increase women's knowledge of IFAS benefits and support them through pregnancy.

The Impact of Treatment Adherence on Quality of Life Among Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients - Findings from a Cross-Sectional Study.
The current study was conducted to assess the factors contributing to treatment adherence and its impact on the quality of life (QoL) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. ⋯ The finding of the current study showed that the non-adherence prevailed in illiterate strata of the study population and the medication adherence significantly affects the QoL in T2DM patients. These findings suggest that health regulatory agencies should focus on implementing disease-education interventions for improving the adherence to medications in patients with long-term conditions.
