ReviewPatient Preferences for Cardiac Rehabilitation - A Systematic Review.
Although a large number of studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of cardiac rehabilitation(CR), patient preferences for CR remain unclear. Knowing patient preferences may contribute to increasing patient participation and adherence, thus improving patient prognosis. ⋯ This systematic review provides important insights into patient preferences for CR, clarifying patient preferences for CR settings, components, and contents, along with possible influencing factors. Patient preferences may change due to the COVID-19 epidemic, and there is still a need to focus on patient preferences for CR and conduct more relevant primary research to validate the findings of this paper in the future.

Medication Adherence and Its Associated Factors Among Outpatients with Heart Failure.
Poor adherence to heart failure (HF) medications represents a major barrier to achieve the desired health outcomes in those patients. ⋯ The poor medication adherence in the present study sheds the light on the importance of implementing intervention programs which focus on improving patients' perception about the prescribed medications particularly for patients who have low educational levels, receive an anticoagulant, and do not receive a statin or an ACEI/ ARB.

Comprehensive Implementation of Shared Decision Making in a Neuromedical Center Using the SHARE TO CARE Program.
SHARE TO CARE (S2C) is a comprehensive, multi-module implementation program for shared decision making (SDM). It is currently applied at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel, Germany, and among general practitioners at the Federal State of Bremen. This study examines the results of the full implementation of S2C in terms of effectiveness within the Kiel Neuromedical Center comprising the departments of neurology and neurosurgery. ⋯ The S2C program has been successfully implemented within the entire Neuromedical Center. Patients reported a medium to small increase of perceived involvement in decision making demonstrating the effectiveness of the implementation. For future research, it might be interesting to investigate the sustainability of the effects of S2C. In addition, it seems useful to complement the patient-based evaluation with observer-based data.

ReviewA Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of the Effectiveness of Adherence Therapy and Its Treatment Duration in Patients with Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders.
Adherence therapy (AT) is an intervention for improving medication adherence of people with schizophrenia spectrum disorders, but no systematic reviews have yet summarized the effectiveness and minimum treatment duration of AT. We here aimed to systematically examine the effectiveness of AT in improving outcomes versus treatment as usual (TAU) and its minimum effective duration for people diagnosed with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. ⋯ The AT had limited effects in terms of improving the attitudes and behaviors of people with schizophrenia spectrum disorders with respect to medication adherence, but did improve patients' psychiatric symptoms. The therapy should be performed by trained staff for maximum benefit, and the recommended duration of the intervention is 12 hours.
