MICROS: Asthma Control App for School Adolescents in a Low Resource Setting - A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial Protocol.
Poor asthma control in adolescents is partly attributed to inadequate asthma education for self-management. This study is set to determine the effectiveness of the "KmAsthma" self-management app in improving the control of asthma among adolescents in a low-resource setting. ⋯ The MICROS study will provide comprehensive insights into how effective a mHealth intervention can be an aid for adolescents in a low-resource setting in managing their asthma. The findings of this study will contribute to filling the gap leading to unsatisfactory asthma control in adolescents.

Alignment of Doctors' Understanding of Treatment Burden Priorities and Chronic Heart Failure Patients' Experiences: A Nominal Group Technique Consultation.
To identify and rank areas of treatment burden in chronic heart failure (CHF), including solutions, that should be discussed during the clinical encounter from a patient, and doctors' perspective. ⋯ The top treatment burden priorities for CHF patients were related to interaction with clinicians and health system inefficiencies, whereas doctors were generally aware of patients' treatment burden but tended to focus on the complexity of the direct treatment work. Addressing the priority issues identified here can commence with clinicians becoming aware of the issues that matter to patients and proactively discussing feasible immediate and longer-term solutions during clinical encounters.

A Qualitative Study on Patients' Views on Hypertension and Antihypertensive Medications.
Few studies explored what patients initiated on blood pressure medication in primary care think about their disease and their medications. The aim of this study was to gain an understanding of hypertensive patients' views on and experiences of hypertension and the use of antihypertensive medications. ⋯ Many patients with hypertension have limited understanding of their hypertension and fear of adverse events from their antihypertensive medications. There is also room for improvement in how the patients are managed in primary health care. Interventions should focus on these issues to promote a better blood pressure target achievement.

Influencing Factor Analysis of First-Choice Medical Institutions for Aging People in China.
This study aimed to analyze first-choice medical institutions for middle-aged and older adults in Fujian Province to promote the development of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment for them. ⋯ To realize high-quality hierarchical diagnosis and treatment and integrated health service system construction, it is important to improve the service capacity of primary medical institutions, increase the training of family doctors, implement the contract coverage of family doctors, optimize the allocation and geographical layout of primary medical institutions, ensure adequate income levels, and promote township hospital staff.

Analysis of Nurse and Patient Preferences for Pre-Filled Pen Devices for Self-Injection of Highly Purified Human Menopausal Gonadotropin (HP-hMG, MENOPUR®).
This study aimed to identify the most important attributes for a gonadotropin pen as perceived by assisted reproductive technology (ART) patients and fertility nurses, and to examine how well a prototype HP-hMG (MENOPUR®) pen reflects these preferences. ⋯ The prototype pen was found to perform well across all key attributes, especially those considered most important in gonadotropin pens, suggesting that it is a user-friendly option for patients undergoing ART.
