A Mobile Application to Improve Diabetes Self-Management Using Rapid Prototyping: Iterative Co-Design Approach in Asian Settings.
Diabetes is a global public health issue, causing burden on healthcare system and increasing risk of mortality. Mobile applications (apps) can be a promising approach to facilitate diabetes self-management. An increasingly utilized approach to facilitate engagement with mobile health (mHealth) technology is to involve potential users in the creation of the technology. ⋯ In this study, we explored users' opinions on a T2DM self-management mobile app using co-design approach. This study adds to the growing body of literature on co-designing behavioral mHealth interventions and can potentially guide researchers in mobile app design for other chronic conditions.

Assessing the Validity of Health Messages Used by the Saudi Public in WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is the most frequently used social media platform in Saudi Arabia. Inaccurate information could negatively impact public health. The number of studies worldwide investigating health-related misinformation in social media increased steadily, with limited data from Arabic-speaking communities. This study aimed to estimate the validity and safety of Arabic-language health information messages circulated on WhatsApp and identify the different categories of these messages based on their credibility. ⋯ This study showed a high percentage of inaccurate and invalid health-related messages on WhatsApp. Invalid messages with potential health risks were authored mostly by unknown sources or unqualified persons. Most health messages written by trusted authorities and qualified persons were valid. Trusted scientific authorities should thus be more active in public education on social media platforms. They should advise their communities on how to discern the validity of such messages. More efforts are needed to guide patients from where to obtain accurate and valid health information.

Validation of the Identification of Medication Adherence Barriers Questionnaire (IMAB-Q); a Behavioural Science-Underpinned Tool for Identifying Non-Adherence and Diagnosing an Individual's Barriers to Adherence.
To validate the Identification of Medication Adherence Barriers Questionnaire (IMAB-Q) as a tool to guide practitioners to identify patients who require support to take their medicines as prescribed, their key barriers to adherence and select relevant behaviour change techniques. ⋯ The IMAB-Q is valid and reliable for identifying people not adhering and their barriers to adherence. Each IMAB-Q item is linked to a TDF domain which in turn is linked to relevant behaviour change techniques. The IMAB-Q can therefore guide patients and practitioners to select strategies tailored to a patient's identified barriers.

Shared Decision-Making in Allergen Immunotherapy (AIT) Options Using a Questionnaire for Respiratory Allergic Patients: A Delphi Consensus Study.
The objective of this study was to develop and validate a questionnaire, through a Delphi consensus, to be used by allergists in their routine clinical practice to assess the preferences of patients starting allergen immunotherapy (AIT) treatment using an objective approach. ⋯ This Delphi consensus study validated a set of twelve recommended questions for patients objectively assessing their preferences and suitability for the most common AIT options available. The questionnaire intends to assist allergists in making an objective, unconditioned decision regarding the best AIT option for each patient, after informing them about the different routes.

Exploring Motivations Regarding Dietary Intake Intentions in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: Development and Validation of a Questionnaire.
The maintenance of stable blood glucose levels in gestational diabetes patients depends on their ability to make scientific decisions. Decision-making ability is influenced by factors such as preferences, knowledge acquisition, and risk perceptions. At present, problems such as irrational dietary structure, difficulties in decision-making, and poor adherence still exist in clinical practice. The key to guiding gestational diabetes patients in developing their scientific decision-making abilities lies in identifying the weak key points that affect their decision-making abilities. There is a lack of validated tools to assess these patients' perceptions of dietary intake. In this study, we aimed to develop and validate the Dietary Intake Perceived Motivation Questionnaire for Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus with the purpose of accurately identifying the obstacles encountered by gestational diabetes mellitus patients in the development of their scientific decision-making abilities. ⋯ Our study determined that the questionnaire serves as a valuable tool in evaluating the motivation behind dietary intake in gestational diabetes patients.
