Effect of Patient-Empowerment Interaction Model on Self-Management Ability of Peritoneal Dialysis Patients: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
Patient empowerment can be achieved through the PBL model. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of patient empowerment through the PBL model in health continuing education of peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. ⋯ The study design involved patients on PD training. The knowledge and skills of PD and quality of life will improve after they participate the PBL health education activities.

Rural, Regional, Racial Disparities in Telemedicine Use During the COVID-19 Pandemic Among US Adults: 2021 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS).
The primary objective of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of telemedicine utilization patterns among adult populations residing in both rural and urban areas and evaluate the probability of telemedicine adoption among adults dwelling in both rural and urban areas amid the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. ⋯ Health equity is attained when all demographic groups enjoy uniform access to healthcare services, but disparities emerge when there are discernible variations in access to treatment. Considering this study's findings, it becomes evident that the distinctions in poverty rates, median income levels, and healthcare utilization patterns across racial and regional lines may serve as indicators of potential health equity concerns.

The study aimed to describe and explore the behavioral dilemmas and support-requirement characteristics of self-management for epileptic adolescents during transition readiness. ⋯ This study provides insights into the self-management practices of AWEs in China and expands previous self-management and transitional readiness strategies and models.

Disease-Related Knowledge and Need for Revision of Care for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation: A Cross Sectional Study.
To evaluate the disease-related knowledge of outpatients with atrial fibrillation (AF), and the relationship with health literacy and other background variables. ⋯ Patients with AF have inadequate knowledge of their condition, potentially as a result of insufficient health literacy. AF knowledge may be improved using integrated management where patients are actively involved in the care and health literacy is considered in the provided patient education.

Patient Education with New Media Integration Self-Management Support Model Improves Therapeutic Outcomes of Rosacea Patients.
To retrospectively analyze the factors influencing the treatment of rosacea patients with regular follow-up by self-management support in the new media chronic disease management model, to explore the effect of self-management support and to provide an objective basis for clinical application. ⋯ Self-management support in the new media chronic disease management model has a positive impact on the treatment of rosacea patients.
