I-PreFer Study: A Questionnaire to Explore Patient, Caregiver and Pulmonologist Preferences of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Treatment Options.
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a rare disease that causes shortness of breath, dry cough, and tiredness. While there is no cure for IPF, current therapeutic treatments aim to slow lung degeneration while managing side effects. There is little known about patient experience and attitude with regards to their disease and medication. ⋯ This study shows there is a significant proportion of IPF patients who remain untreated, a misalignment of disease severity between patients and their physicians and patient background impacts behavior. Overall, more in-depth patient-physician communication is needed to improve treatment experience.

Community Efficacy for Non-Communicable Disease Management and Medication Adherence: The Sequential Mediating Role of Self-Efficacy and Depressive Symptoms.
We assess whether the sequential mediating effects of self-efficacy and depressive symptoms on the relationship between community efficacy for non-communicable disease management (COEN) and medication adherence and whether these relationships differed by sex and age. ⋯ Interventions that enhance individual self-efficacy may be beneficial in decreasing depressive symptoms and improving medication adherence.

Barrier Factors of Adherence to Dupilumab Self-Injection for Severe Allergic Disease: A Non-Interventional Open-Label Study.
The status of dupilumab self-injection at home is not well understood. We therefore aimed to identify the barriers to adherence to dupilumab self-injection. ⋯ The pre-filled dupilumab pen was superior to the syringe in terms of usability, operability, ease of pushing the plunger, and satisfaction. Repetitive instructions are recommended for preventing poor adherence to dupilumab self-injection.

Patient Preferences for Anesthesiologist Attire During Preoperative Visits in China: A Cross-Sectional Survey.
It is important for anesthesiologists to leave good impressions and build rapport with patients during preoperative visits. However, patient preferences for anesthesiologist attire have not been well studied in China. ⋯ Patients prefer anesthesiologists wearing scrubs in coats of the same color. Standardizing anesthesiologist attire based on these findings may improve patient satisfaction.

Preferences for Rehabilitation in Persons with a History of Stroke: A Discrete Choice Experiment.
To investigate the preferences of persons with a history of stroke for various attributes of rehabilitation using a discrete choice experiment (DCE). ⋯ A discrete choice experiment revealed that persons with a history of stroke prefer a one-hour hospital rehabilitation program with a female therapist, with cost being a major consideration for rehabilitation. The results of this study may provide useful information for rehabilitation professionals.
