Patient, Care Partner, and Physician Voices in Treatment Decision-Making for Multiple Myeloma.
Treatment decision-making for multiple myeloma (MM) is complex. Individuals involved in decision-making may value treatment attributes differently based on their role as a patient, care partner, or physician. This study describes those attributes, and what is most important by role. ⋯ Patients with MM, care partners, and physicians consider and value various treatment decision-making factors. Recognizing and addressing these differences is critical to meeting patients' preferences, needs, and optimizing patient outcomes.

A Mobile Application for Anticoagulation Management in Patients After Heart Valve Replacement: A Usability Study.
Individualized anticoagulation therapy is a major challenge for patients after heart valve replacement. Mobile applications assisted by Artificial intelligence (AI) have great potential to meet the individual needs of patients. The study aimed to develop an AI technology-assisted mobile application (app) for anticoagulation management, understand patients' acceptance of such applications, and determine its feasibility. ⋯ This study confirmed the feasibility of using an AI technology-assisted mobile application for anticoagulation management in patients after heart valve replacement. To further develop this application, challenges lie in continuously improving the accuracy of recommended drug doses, obtaining family support, and ensuring information security.

An Australian Community-Based Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease Care Pathway for People with Type 2 Diabetes: Barriers and Considerations.
Although clinical guidelines endorse screening for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) with advanced fibrosis in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D), the feasibility of and barriers and considerations relevant to implementing this approach in the community remain unclear. ⋯ The low rate of participation in the "liver health check" and liver clinic referral reflects a real-world scenario and may stem from societal under-recognition and engagement with MASLD, competing health priorities or under-appreciation of the link between liver fibrosis severity and mortality risk. Further studies need to address strategies to enhance participation in liver health assessments and determine their impact on liver-related morbidity/mortality and overall survival.
