Real-World Maintenance Phase Persistence on Ustekinumab and Adalimumab in Ulcerative Colitis.
To describe real-world persistence in bio-naïve and bio-experienced adults with ulcerative colitis (UC) treated with ustekinumab, a recently approved anti-interleukin 12/23 antibody, or adalimumab, an anti-TNF biologic. ⋯ At 12 months after maintenance phase start, patients with UC treated with ustekinumab had numerically higher persistence, including persistence while corticosteroid-free and persistence while on monotherapy, than patients treated with adalimumab.

The Relationship Between Continuity of Care and Enhancement of Clinical Outcomes Among Patients with Chronic Conditions.
Continuity of care is one of the main principles of family medicine, described as a relationship with a single provider that extends beyond a single illness episode. This retrospective study, conducted at King Saud University Family Medicine Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aimed to investigate the impact of having a regular primary care provider on clinical outcomes and preventive service delivery for patients with diabetes and/or hypertension. ⋯ This study's findings underscore the importance of continuity of care in chronic disease management and provide valuable and promising insights into the Saudi healthcare context, aligning with the Saudi Ministry of Health's vision for universal access to regular primary care providers.

Post-Intervention Acceptability of a Multicomponent Intervention for Hypertension Management in Primary Care Clinics by Health Care Providers and Patients: A Qualitative Study of a Cluster RCT in Singapore.
Hypertension is a major public health challenge, globally. Recently, we reported findings from cluster randomized trial in 8 primary care clinics in Singapore and showed that a multicomponent "SingHypertension" intervention comprising 1) motivational conversation by trained nurses, 2) telephone-based follow-ups, 3) standardized algorithm with single-pill combination (SPC) antihypertensive medications, and 4) subsidy on SPC antihypertensive drugs was effective on improving BP control. This paper presents the acceptability of SingHypertension multicomponent intervention among the key stakeholders. ⋯ SingHypertension multicomponent intervention is acceptable to the key stakeholders in Singapore. Taken together with the effectiveness of the intervention, our findings make a compelling case for scaling-up SingHypertension in primary care clinics in Singapore and possibly other countries with similar healthcare infrastructure.

Patient-Centered Positive Factors Influencing Glycemic Control in Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus in China: A Cross-Sectional and Longitudinal Study.
This study aimed to explore the stable longitudinal patient-centered self-protective factors of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). ⋯ Self-care and resilience had higher cross-temporal stability in influencing glycemic control over time. To reach a better glycemic control and improve long-term health outcomes, attention should be paid to the detection and enhancement of these patient-centered promoters.

Developing and Validating a Nomogram for Non-Adherence to Inhaler Therapy Among Elderly Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients Based on the Social Ecological Model.
This study aimed to identify the risk predictors of non-adherence to inhaler therapy and construct a nomogram prediction model for use in Chinese elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). ⋯ This study identified predictive factors regarding non-adherence among elderly patients with COPD and constructed a predictive nomogram. By utilizing the nomogram model healthcare professionals could swiftly calculate and comprehend the non-compliance level of COPD patients, thus guiding the development of personalized interventions in clinical practice.
