Imatinib Adherence and Persistence in Patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in Belgium: Evidence from Real-World Data.
Imatinib adherence and persistence are key components of the successful treatment of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). In Belgium, there is no study assessing these behaviors at a national level. Our study aimed to provide the first nationwide measure and to identify associated pharmacy-based predictors (age, gender, comorbidities). We also assessed mortality and transplantation incidence according to adherence status. ⋯ This Belgian nationwide representative study revealed a critical low level of imatinib adherence, which decreased over time even though persistence was high at six months. We pinpointed pharmacy-based predictors that were easily identifiable by health care stakeholders in order to undertake interventions to improve adherence.

A Scale for Measuring Electronic Patient Engagement Behaviors: Development and Validation.
Advancements in electronic health (eHealth) technology have profoundly impacted patient engagement. This study aimed to develop and validate the Electronic Patient Engagement Behavior (EPEB) scale to measure the conceptual and underlying framework of patient engagement behaviors in an eHealth context. ⋯ The EPEB scale provides a reliable tool for measuring patient engagement behaviors in the eHealth context. The utilization of this scale may yield valuable insights into strategies for enhancing patient engagement and optimizing health outcomes.

Awareness of Breast Cancer Risk Factors in Women with vs. Without High Breast Density.
Women with high breast density (HBD) carry an increased risk for breast cancer (BC). The aim of the study was to provide data on awareness and knowledge gaps among women with vs w/o HBD about BC risk factors (BCRFs), which is the basis for effective communication about screening. ⋯ Overall 39% of women were familiar with HBD as BCRF. Lack of BCRF awareness may contribute to delayed screenings, missed opportunities for early detection, and potentially poorer outcomes for individuals with dense breast tissue. Thus, this information should be communicated more widely.

Information-Seeking and Risk Perception to Explain Infection-Prevention Behaviors: Conditional Analysis on Trust in Media and Government as Moderator.
This study aims to explore how the relationship between information-seeking and infection-prevention behaviors through risk perception changes according to the level of trust in the media and government. ⋯ Information-seeking behaviors affect infection-prevention behaviors directly and indirectly through risk perception. Trust in media and government modulates this relationship, emphasizing the importance of establishing trust to promote effective risk communication and long-term public compliance with infection-prevention practices. Health authorities should focus on building trust through transparent risk communication and integrating diverse media perspectives. Further research is needed to explore the psychological and social mechanisms underlying trust in media and government through qualitative, cross-cultural comparisons.

Needs and Constraints for Cardiac Rehabilitation Among Patients with Coronary Heart Disease Within a Community-Based Setting: A Study Based on Focus Group Interviews.
This study aimed to explore the needs and constraints to cardiac rehabilitation (CR) among patients diagnosed with coronary heart disease (CHD) in a community-based setting, and thereby facilitating the implementation of effective CR programs for this population. ⋯ For more effective CR, community-based medical teams should provide more comprehensive and individualized rehabilitation programs. They should focus on individual variations and preferences of patients, as well as enhance the autonomy of patients and improve their self-care ability through effective empowerment measures.
