Impact of Pharmacist-Led Intervention on Adherence to Inhalers, Inhalation Technique, and Disease Control Among Asthma/COPD Patients in a Resource Limited Center: An Interventional Study.
Asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are chronic respiratory conditions characterized by airflow obstruction and respiratory symptoms. Adherence to prescribed inhaler therapy and correct inhalation technique are essential for effective disease management and optimal disease control. However, non-adherence and incorrect inhalation technique are common challenges faced by patients with asthma and COPD, leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes and increased healthcare burden. ⋯ This study shows the potential efficacy of pharmacist-led intervention in enhancing adherence to inhaler, inhalation technique, and disease control in respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD.

Developing and Validating an Epilepsy Awareness and Education Program: Bridging Gaps in Knowledge and Support for People Living with Epilepsy and Their Families.
Various epilepsy studies on epilepsy awareness and knowledge highlight underlying myths, misconceptions, stigma, and discrimination associated with epilepsy, People Living with Epilepsy (PLWE), and their families. This study aimed to develop an epilepsy awareness and education programme to enhance epilepsy awareness and support among individuals living with epilepsy and their families. Participatory Action Research (PAR) laid the ground for the programme's investigation, development, and implementation. ⋯ From these, the gaps and potential education needs were identified. Gaps such as insufficient knowledge about epilepsy in rural communities, negative attitudes and satisfactory awareness, and a need for support and care for PLWE and FMCs. Implementation of this programme will improve epilepsy knowledge, care, and support in marginalised communities, establishing a more conducive environment and ultimately improving the quality of life for patients and their families.

Predictive Value of Troponin I, Creatinine Kinase Isoenzyme and the New Japanese Severity Score in Severe Acute Pancreatitis.
To evaluate troponin I, creatine kinase isoenzyme, and the new Japanese Severity Score(JSS) for predicting Severe Acute Pancreatitis-Associated myocardial Injury(SACI). ⋯ Troponin I and creatine kinase isoenzymes combined with the new JSS have a high predictive value for SACI, improving the early prediction and treatment of at-risk patients.

Factors Associated with Treatment Satisfaction in Korean Patients with Psoriasis.
Treatment satisfaction among patients with psoriasis can vary significantly based on available treatment options and individual patient characteristics. ⋯ Findings suggest that while biologic treatments may confer greater satisfaction to patients with psoriasis, diminished quality of life and anxiety can negatively impact satisfaction levels. The study underscores the importance of understanding the factors associated with patient satisfaction to optimize treatment outcomes in psoriasis management.

Influential Factors for Self-Management Among Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy: A Structural Equation Model Analysis.
To investigate the influencing factors of self-management of diabetic retinopathy (DR) by constructing a structural equation model (SEM) to analyze the relationships among self-management behavior, perceived social support, and trait coping style as well as to determine the influencing path in order to provide a theoretical reference for exploring a multipath health management model that can be used to improve the quality of life of DR patients. ⋯ The self-management of DR was at an intermediate level. Perceived social support and trait coping styles were important influencing factors for self-management behavior in DR patients. Therefore, improving perceived social support and trait coping styles can promote the self-management behavior of DR patients, reduce their psychological burden, and improve their compliance and quality of life.
