To evaluate the demographics, clinical presentation, laboratory data, chest radiographs, and outcomes of pediatric patients with critical coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). ⋯ This study described a single-center cohort of pediatric patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia. In this cohort, children with cardiopulmonary comorbidities and ARDS had a high mortality and long-term morbidity, as observed in other pediatric studies.

To assess the efficiency and safety of endobronchial valve (EBV) treatment in Chinese patients. ⋯ Endobronchial valve treatment in patients with advanced emphysema and CV- provides clinically meaningful benefits with a low incidence of pneumothorax. The efficiency and safety of EBV therapy are acceptable in China.

To retrospectively evaluate the efficacy of drug-coated balloon (DCB) in patients with de novo coronary artery disease with and without diabetes. ⋯ Diabetes increased the risk of MACE in patients performing PCI with DCB.

To calculate the incidence of acute peripancreatic fluid collection (APFC) in patients with acute pancreatitis. The secondary objective is to determine the underlying etiologies of acute pancreatitis in the Saudi population. ⋯ The incidence of APFC in patients presenting with acute pancreatitis between January 2008 and January 2021 was 48.3%. The most common etiology of acute pancreatitis in this tertiary care hospital was idiopathic, followed by biliary etiologies and post-ERCP complications. More studies targeting the local complications of pancreatitis are needed to reach more definitive findings.

To investigate the incidence, risk factors, and management of meningitis in cochlear implant (CI)users. ⋯ Cochlear implant users seem to be at possible risk of bacterial meningitis at any time after implantation, especially in the presence of risk factors, such as otitis media and anatomical malformations of the cochlea.
