To study clinical and laboratory characteristics of hepatitides and evaluate efficacy of immunosuppressive therapy and transplantation of the bone marrow in hepatitis-associated aplastic anemia (HAAA). ⋯ HAAA prognosis is good only in administration of up-to-date therapy. After seronegative hepatitis it is necessary to control hemogram parameters and in the presence of minimal cytopenia patients should be directed to hematological hospital.

Comparative Study
[Efficacy and safety of lornoxicam in an early postoperative period].
To compare quality of anesthesia with opioid drug and nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs in 123 patients after extensive operative interventions of the lungs and trachea, abdominal organs, lower limbs. ⋯ Adequate anesthesia with lornoxicam and promedol early after surgery on the chest and abdominal organs, major vessels of the lower limbs occurs in 82 and 87% patients, respectively. Lornoxicam administration as continuous intravenous infusion and controlled analgesia in older patients eliminates the need in opioid analgetics in 45% cases and is well tolerated.

To study a spectrum of histologic patterns in patients with paraneoplastic lymphadenopathies, to analyse repeating changes and the causes of diagnostic mistakes. ⋯ Histologic patterns in lymph nodes not involved by lymphomas in patients with lymphomas are not random. While sinus histiocytosis and necrosis are universal findings, some patterns are disease specific. Paracortical hyperplasia is typical for T-cell lymphomas, prominent fibrosis--for Hodgkin's lymphoma. We believe that paraneoplastic changes in lymph nodes are caused by partial tumor involvement, cytokine reaction, or antitumor immune response. From practical point of view, finding of necrosis, prominent sinus histiocytosis, or prominent fibrosis of a lymph node in the absence of a history of chronic lymphadenitis or inflammation in the draining area should be considered as possible indication to second biopsy. Interpretation of such paraneoplastic phenomena as paracortical hyperplasia and formation of epithelioid-cell granulemas is not easy and must consider context of a clinical picture.

To study effects of a selective beta1-adrenoblocker (B1AB) bisoprolol fumarate (conkor, Nikomed, Germany) on severity of pulmonary hypertension (PH), bronchial obstruction and bioelectric activity of the myocardium in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) associated with ischemic heart disease (IHD). ⋯ Bisoprolol is well tolerated, effective and safe in COPD patients with IHD.

To quantitatively determine minimal residual disease (MRD) by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in patients with a chronic phase (CP) of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). ⋯ Quantitative monitoring by real-time PCR gives additional information on the dynamics of MRD in CML patients treated with glivec and permits improvement of study protocols for patients with CML at complete clinicohematological and cytogenetic remission.
