To make an integrated assessment of the sociomedical status of patients receiving continuous renal replacement therapy (RRT) with hemodialysis (HD), by using the Charlson comorbidity index (CCI) and the Barthel disability index (BI) and to analyze the compliance of these indices with the disability severity estimated according to disability group (DG). ⋯ The disability severity estimated in view of DG does not correspond to the severity of comorbidities (CCI) and the magnitude of functional limitations (BI) in some patients with CKD 5D. While determining DG, it is advisable to take into account CCI as an indicator of the severity of physical disorders to objectify the estimate of the sociomedical status of patients with CKD 5D, as well as BI to determine the degree of disability.

[Lung ultrasonography for the diagnosis of pneumonia in pregnant women with blood system tumors].
To estimate the informative value of ultrasonography (USG) in the diagnosis of lung injuries in pregnant women with blood system tumors. ⋯ Lung sound may be used to diagnose lung injury in pregnant women with blood cancers.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
[Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation as late high-dose consolidation in adult patients with T-cell lymphoblastic leukemias: Results of a Russian multicenter study].
To analyze the efficiency of the ALL-2009 protocol (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT01 193933) in patients with T-cell leukemias, particularly the role of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto-HSCT) after non-myeloablative BEAM conditioning, followed by maintenance therapy. ⋯ The long-term survival rates obtained during this multicenter study in the T-ALL patients treated according to the ALL-2009 protocol, the basis for which is the principle of continuity of cytostatic effects, are exclusively optimistic. Late consolidation with auto-HSCT following non-myeloablative BEAM conditioning, followed by maintenance therapy, considerably reduces the risk of recurrence.

AIM. To analyze changes in the serum concentrations of the morphogenetic proteins fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23) and Klotho, as well as sclerostin, an osteocyte-secreted glycoprotein, in relation to the degree of hypertension, left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy, and arterial stiffness in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) at its different stages. ⋯ It was demonstrated that there was a clear link between increased serum FGF-23 and decreased Klotho concentration as CKD progressed, and that between arterial stiffness and calcification and myocardial remodelling regardless of traditional risk factors. More experimental and clinical studies are required to clarify the role of sclerostin in CKD.

To enhance the efficiency of treatment in patients with secondary osteoarthritis (ОА) in the presence of comorbid condition, by using an interleukin-1 inhibitor (IL-1i) and laser therapy (LT). ⋯ Incorporation of an IL-1i into a therapy regimen for secondary OA in RA patients during basic therapy could not only improve the functional status of patients, but also decrease activity of the underlying disease according to the DAS 28.
