To reveal the potential efficiency of high-flow oxygen therapy in acute pancreatitis complicated with acute respiratory dysfunction compared with conventional oxygen therapy. ⋯ High-flow oxygen is a more effective method for acute pancreatitis complicated with acute respiratory dysfunction than conventional oxygen therapy.

Adrenal incidentalomas have been associated with increased cardiovascular risk and have a prevalence as high as 10%. This study aims to evaluate carotid- intima media thickness (CIMT), left ventricular mass, and epicardial adipose tissue thickness in nonfunctioning adrenal incidentaloma patients and compare their results with healthy controls. ⋯ Adrenal incidentaloma patients need to be monitored for cardiac dysfunction. CIMT may be used to evaluate adrenal incidentaloma patients for early cardiovascular risk.

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is the most frequent cause of physical disability in childhood. CP causes primary deficits such as impairments in muscle tone, muscle weakness, problems in selective motor control and secondary deficits such as contractures and deformities. These deficits lead to motor disorders during movement causing limitations in gait. Sixty percent of children with CP can walk independently despite these problems, however, they present with various gait abnormalities. Gait analysis is used in the quantitative assessment of gait disturbances providing functional diagnosis, assessment for treatment, planning, and monitoring of progress. G-Walk is a wearable sensor device which provides quantitative gait analysis via spatiotemporal parameters and pelvic girdle angles. In literature, there is no study investigating the reliability of the G-Walk in children with CP. The purpose of this study was to confirm the test-retest reliability of a commercially available body-worn sensor 'BTS G-WALK sensor system' for spatiotemporal gait parameters in children with CP. ⋯ The G-Walk was found to be reliable in gait parameters for children with CP between ages 5 and 15, in GMFCS level I-II. A gait analysis carried out with the G-Walk system is a reliable method to assess gait in children with CP in a clinical setting.

Association between depression scores and comprehensive geriatric assessment and frailty in geriatric outpatients with somatic complaints: an observational cross-sectional study.
Depression is the most common psychiatric problem in older individuals. In some countries, the common approach is to ignore psychiatric disorders. This study aimed to reveal the importance of newly diagnosed high depression scores in the geriatric population admitted to outpatient clinics with somatic complaints. ⋯ Depression scores in older people may be associated with not only mood but also the functionality. As with other geriatric syndromes, symptoms in depression may be atypical rather than typical.

A long life to be spent in a healthy, independent and vigorous way is one of humanity's biggest dreams. This is the engagement of individuals in healthy ageing processes. This study was carried out to conduct the Turkish validity and reliability study of the "Engagement in Healthy Ageing Scale" developed by Menichetti, Bonanomi, and Graffigna [3] to determine the engagement of individuals in healthy ageing and their experiences with healthy ageing. ⋯ As a result of the research, it was determined that the Engagement in Healthy Aging Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool in Turkish culture (Appendix).
