To provide the first clinical report that 2 calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) therapies, a small molecule CGRP receptor antagonist and an anti-CGRP receptor antibody, can be used concomitantly to treat refractory migraine. ⋯ This study provides Class IV evidence that for patients with migraine using erenumab, rimegepant is effective for acute treatment.

To determine if survival and cognitive profile is affected by initial presentation in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis-frontotemporal dementia (ALS-FTD) (motor vs cognitive), we compared survival patterns in ALS-FTD based on initial phenotypic presentation and their cognitive profile compared to behavioral variant FTD (bvFTD). ⋯ Initial motor presentation in ALS-FTD leads to faster progression than in those with a cognitive presentation, despite similar overall cognitive deficits. These findings suggest that disease progression in ALS-FTD may be critically linked to physiologic and motor changes.
