Observational StudyEvaluation of the Airtraq video laryngoscope as a rescue device after difficult direct laryngoscopy.
Unexpected difficult tracheal intubation and failure to intubate are among the leading causes of anesthesia-related morbidity and mortality. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of the Airtraq video laryngoscope for tracheal intubation after difficult direct laryngoscopy. ⋯ Tracheal intubation using the Airtraq was effective, simple and safe in patients with difficult laryngoscopy. These results confirm that the Airtraq is a reliable video laryngoscope as a rescue device in cases of difficult laryngeal view with direct laryngoscopy.

Case ReportsUltrasound guided erector spinae plane block as a cause of unintended motor block.
Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) as postoperative analgesia method has been successfully carried out in several surgical interventions. Postoperative pain treatment for cesarean section is considered one of the important challenges for anesthesiologists due to the risk of chronic pain development and even pospartum depression. ⋯ In this case report, we present an unexpected motor weakness as a side effect of the erector spinae plane block after cesarean delivery operation in a 29 year old patient. To our knowledge, this is the first report of motor weakness related to the ESPB.
