[Comparison of the predictive value of tip-apex distance and calcar referenced tip-apex distance in treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures with Asian type proximal femoral nail fixation].
To compare the predictive value of the two concepts for complications by comparing the incidences of surgical complications associated with different tip-apex distance (TAD) and calcar referenced tip-apex distance (Cal-TAD) in the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures with Asian type proximal femoral nail (APFN) fixation. ⋯ In the operation of femoral intertrochanteric fracture with APFN fixation, surgical complications can be significantly reduced when TAD or Cal-TAD was controlled within 25 mm, Cal-TAD is more significant in the prediction of postoperative complications.

[Effect of unilateral rotator cuff repair on the contralateral shoulder in patients with bilateral rotator cuff tears].
To investigate the effect of unilateral rotator cuff repair on the contralateral shoulder in patients with bilateral rotator cuff tears. ⋯ For patients with bilateral rotator cuff tears, the unilateral rotator cuff repair can aggravate the rotator cuff tear of contralateral shoulder.

[Study on vascular remodeling, inflammatory response, and their correlations in acute spinal cord injury in rats].
To study the local vascular remodeling, inflammatory response, and their correlations following acute spinal cord injury (SCI) with different grades, and to assess the histological changes in SCI rats. ⋯ In the acute stage following mild or moderate SCI, progressively aggravated injury result in higher microvessel density and increased inflammation. However, at the SCI region, the relation between microvessel density and inflammation inverse with time in the different grades of SCI. Accordingly, the destruction of neural structures positively relate to the grades of SCI and severity of inflammation.
