[The influence of positive end-expiratory pressure on cerebral blood flow and cerebrovascular autoregulation in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To explore the influence of different positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) levels on cerebral blood flow (CBF) and cerebrovascular autoregulation in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS). ⋯ Some of moderate or severe ARDS patients without central nervous system disease have independent of preexisting cerebral autoregulation impairment. However, independent of preexisting cerebral autoregulation may not further be impaired when a high PEEP was chosen.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Study of timing of invasive and noninvasive sequential ventilation in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To investigate the timing and value of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) as a weaning tool immediately after early extubation in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ⋯ When PaO2/FiO2 reached 200-250 mmHg under the condition of low ventilation, sequential NIV facilitates the early discontinuation of mechanical ventilation in ARDS patients with surgical diseases, with shortening of duration of invasive mechanical ventilation, total mechanical ventilation, and the length of ICU stay.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Clinical study of early use of neuromuscular blocking agents in patients with severe sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To observe the clinical effects of early use of neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBA) in patients with severe sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ⋯ The early use of NMBA treatment of patients with severe sepsis and severe ARDS cannot only improve the severity but also reduce 21-day mortality.
