[Value of a model based on PIRO conception in predicting the prognosis in critical patients].
To investigate the values of factors based on PIRO conception in predicting the prognosis of critical patients. ⋯ The multivariate regression analysis based on PIRO system may help to predict 28 days mortality in critical patients.

[The relationship between the levels and variability of blood glucose and the prognosis of massive cerebral infarction].
To investigate the relationship between the levels and variability of blood glucose and the prognosis of massive cerebral infarction. ⋯ Both the GluAve level and GluCV level are significantly correlated with the outcome of patients suffering from massive cerebral infarction. The change in GluCV level seems to be more sensitive in predicting the prognosis of massive cerebral infarction than GluAve.

[A study of inhibitory effect of chromogranin A derived peptide CGA(47 _ 66) on hyper - permeability of endothelium induced by serum of septic patient].
To explore the role of chromogranin A ( CGA) derived peptide CGA47~ ( Chromfungin, CHR) on septic serum induced high permeability of vascular endothelial cells. ⋯ In a dose-dependent manner, CHR may inhibit increased permeability of vascular endothelial cells induced by septic shock patient's serum, its underlying mechanism may be related to inhibition of the effect of TNF-α.

Comparative Study[Comparison of value of GRACE, APACHEII and REMS for early prognosis of death in patients with acute myocardial infarction].
To evaluate and compare the predictive value of short-term risk of death of global registry of acute coronary events (GRACE) risk scores, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHEII) scores and rapid emergency medicine score (REMS) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). ⋯ GRACE and APACHEII scores for patients with AMI risk of short-term death showed more accurate in predicting early than GRACE scores, and REMS for AMI risk of short-term death did not have predictive value.

[An investigation on correlation of severity of brain injury with the expression of activin A and C-reactive protein].
To determine the dynamic change in serum levels of activin A (ACTA) and C-reaction protein (CRP) in patients with brain injury, and to investigate its significance. ⋯ Serum levels of ACTA and CRP in patients with brain injury are strongly correlated with the severity of the injury. Furthermore, ACTA is more sensitive than CRP in detecting early brain injury. Therefore, ACTA is a specific factor for detecting brain injury.
